Transformers... try to hit on opening day (6/20), or day after?

Or, does it not matter, we'll be in line for hours either way? I've never tried a new ride that close to its official opening; we live in the area and can wait it out. But fellow travelers are coming form out of state and will only be around until 6/22. I'm open to suggestions form the experts here...

probably hours in line either way.... i remember when the new "disaster" ride opened.... it was basically the same as the old Earthquake ride.... and there was STILL a long ling when it first opened.

I don't think one day will be much different.... if your visitors don't mind skipping the ride, you can probably hit all the other attractions instead.

Who knows... this may be the first time that that Forbidden Journey ride is not the star!!

I know, right?! Nope, if they decide to hit US, our friends will be doing so specifically for Transformers. Oh well; we'll have fun together, waiting in line!

It won't matter which day you go after opening. You'll find LONG lines all day every day. Express should be available though so you'd have to purchase those for the day and the single rider line should be operational too.

I'm hoping for a passholder preview so I won't have to fool with those huge lines but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I'm glad we booked our rooms months ago for that weekend, coming in June 21st for 3 nights and looking forward to seeing the new ride

I have a feeling the express pass will be greatly apprecaited by the family

We will be there on June 23rd. Was really excited to hear that Transformers will be opened for our visit but now I am wondering if we are better off focusing on doing the other rides instead. It is our first visit and I don't want to spend so much time lined up for Transformers that we miss out on other rides and getting to explore the park. How long would you expect to line up for a new ride like this if you head there when the park opens at 9:00?

They won't begin on May 28...just announced. As long as your AP is active, you would be eligible for the previews...provided you're there when they have them. According to the Passport newsletter, the dates will be announced on the Universal passholder site. I'll post the dates when I see them online. You won't get a Passport until fall this year.
