Looking for songs for 4th grade slideshow

Hi

I'm putting together an end of year slideshow (about 1/2 hour-in length so I need a dozen songs or so!) with photos from throughout the year.

I'm looking for song suggestions--stuff about friends, school, working hard, determination, caring, fond memories...you get the idea!

Any suggestions? I'm sure there are some great Disney soundtrack songs that would fit the bill--but I just can't think of them right now other than 'You've Got a friend in me' from Emperor's New Groove.

Thanks!

PS I already have
Graduation, Vitamin C
Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong
You've Got a friend in me, Emperor's New Groove

One we used for 1st grade but I can't find it online and am not sure who it is by, this is what I remember:

I am a promise,
I am a possibility
I am a promise
With a capital P
I am a great big bundle of POTENTIALITY
And I am learning to hear God's voice
And I am trying to make the right choices
I'm a promise to be
Anything God wants me to be!

Only thing is it is religious in nature, if this is for a public school, not sure if you would have and opposition in using it.

I Believe I Could Fly is always good for these kind of things.
Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas.

Do you mean "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story? If not, that is a good one. Also:

"When You're the Best of Friends" from The Fox and the Hound
James Taylor's "You've Got a Friend"
Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)"

How about "Thank you for being a friend"? (You KNOW... the theme song from the Golden Girls?) or "Celebrate" I think it's by Kool and the Gang

Memories ... - one from Cats or the one sung by Barbra Streisand
Lean on Me
I Hope You Dance
Remember Me This Way (Jordan Hill)
Hero (Mariah Carey)
Oh How the Years Go By (Vanessa Williams)
That's What Friends are For (Dionne Warwick)
I'm A Believer
Dog and Butterfly (Heart)

PS I'm not sure about "I Believe I Could Fly." Excellent song, but may be inappropriate to some because of R Kelly's legal troubles.

My husband just finished a slide show for our son's wrestling club. When he showed pics of friends and family..he used Give a Little Bit..by Supertramp!

He had lots of compliments on that song..it just seemed right

Here are the lyrics:

Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
Give a little bit
I’ll give a little bit of my love to you
There’s so much that we need to share
So send a smile and show you care

I’ll give a little bit
I’ll give a little bit of my life for you
So give a little bit
Give a little bit of your time to me
See the man with the lonely eyes
Take his hand, you’ll be surprised

Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
I’ll give a little bit of my life for you
Now’s the time that we need to share
So find yourself, we’re on our way back home

Going home
Don’t you need to feel at home?
Oh yeah, we gotta sing

I did a slide show at school last year and used "Remember Me This Way" from the Casper and Wendy movie soundtrack (a real tear jerker!!) And my upbeat song was "Tell Everybody I'm On My Way" from the Brother Bear soundtrack. Both were big hits.

You'll Be in My Heart, by Phil Collins, from the Tarzan Movie, most kids and adults know the words and the lyrics are sweet. Good Luck!!
