Our family really enjoyed eating at the resort food courts. Yes it is counter service, yes it is on paper plates but the selection and quality of food was very good.

For example here is a link to the All Star Sports menu

http://allears.net/menu/men_endz.htm

and Art of Animation (although not eaten here as not even built when we last visited!)

you get real plates at landscape of flavors.

the food court is too busy for me though, even busier and noisier than POP's

Virgin brochures shows

" car hire included in every Florida holiday*"
* included car based on party size and with basic insurance package only

I've just emailed Thomson in town who we booked with see if I can this thrown in now ( we said no when booking doh )

If not ill be happy to book a car with Alamo or similar before we go. As long as I get damage waiver n sat nav.

I won't want to drive from airport after a long flight and we have transfers anyway. So I was thinking of picking up from dolphin or the other place on disney site.

We've booked through Virgin as well and was offered the *free* car when we booked. It's not actually free though because they told us they wouldn't let us drive it away with just the basic insurance. We were told we'd have to pay at least an extra £300 for the additional insurance. I don't know whether there's a problem with their website, but at the moment it's actually cheaper to rent a car as an add on and not take their *free* one.

We're gonna have to phone to check the prices because something doesn't seem right.

All the packages usually include a "free" car but it is never actually free as you have to pay insurance and most times it is cheaper to book a car separate.

Well !!

Thomson said its £5 admin charge per person to amend the discovery cove date.

I've sent them a nice email stating that's unacceptable, when DC website says its f.o.c to amend the date once/1st time.

If Thomspn are funny with me ill just ring DC direct.

I remember a thread where someone phoned DC direct and it was changed FOC. I would bypass Thomson and sort it yourself.

But what will happen when Thomson get our tickets in store, to pass onto us, and they say e.g 6th, when our booking info with Thomson was 8th as agreed when we booked the hol.

Wont this confuse Thomson ?
Surely Thomson will contact DC & say "hang on this client requested 8th"

??

Not sure, but surely once you have changed the date with DC, that is the ticket you will receive? Perhaps you could inform Thomason that you have changed the date?

Well - called DC, they said they can't 'touch' my booking until 24 hr before booking.
She said your agent will have control of the booking till then.

So I'm stuck as I want it at Lear a few days earlier.

In a way I'm annoyed but in another way it's only £20.

Just emailed Thomson n said we want it earlier so let me know what dates.

Could you order a sat nav off amazon.com and get it shipped to your resort? May be cheaper that renting one and at least you wouldn't have to find a Walmart to buy one x
