Traveling to Port Canaveral from MCO

Looking into the most cost effective plan for travel to Port Canaveral...we are a family of five adults...Plan to stay near Port Canaveral before the cruise and at Disney World (We are DVC members - Bay Lake Towers) after the cruise...any suggestions for the most cost effective way to travel? Thanks!

I would either rent a a minivan or SUV to hold 5 people and luggage as a one way from MCO to hotel at Port Canaveral. The rental agencies near the port are: Avis, Budget/Alamo, Hertz, Thirfty/Dollar, Enterprise. I would keep the car until the morning of the cruise. I would drop 4 adults and luggage at the port and then return the car and the remaining adult hop the rental car shuttle back to the port and meet the others.

or,

You can price out a private limo or towncar service for a one way.

On the return, for convenience, I would just take the DCL bus back to WDW at $35 pp one way or you could also price out the towncar option. You will responsible for taking your luggage on the bus or in the towncar back to WDW.

Look into Happy Limo. They have all sizes of cars and vans. We used them for our last trip and it was the cheapest way I found. There is also a coupon on mousesavers you can use.

Radisson Resort at the Port offers a shuttle for $25 per person for the first two and $10 per person after 2, so for $80 they would take a family of 5 to the resort from MCO. We used this in October and had a good experience.
