Cove Cafe on Embarkation Day

I haven't posted a lot but this board has been invaluable to me in planning or first Disney cruise. We leave on the Wonder today and I had one silly, last minute question. Is the Cove Cafe open when boarding starts out does it open later? I've been salivating over the pictures of the treats they offer.

It's open when boarding starts. Cruisers who do b2b are invited to stay there when they get back on the ship before everyone else boards.

Another question about Cove Cafe...

I know the specialty drinks are an upcharge, but are the pastries as well?? I've only ever walked through just to take a look, but never stayed (not much of a coffee drinker) and have always wondered...

When DH and I cruised the Wonder last November w/o kids (BEST.CRUISE.EVER!) We got on board, ate at Topsiders (Cabana's, w/e it is on the Wonder) then went straight to Cove Cafe. We spent A LOT of time in there! When we got too hot outside we went in and grabbed a coffee, read the magazines, I even fell asleep in one of the chairs while DH read one time. They change the types of snacks in the case thru the day. We love Cove Cafe on the Wonder, sooo much nicer than the Magic. One tip we learned on here- get a punch card. I think the 5th or 6th drink is free with the punch card.

Is the Magic getting outlook cafe? My favorite was outlook...the cove felt a little cramped to me. Outlook cafe, peaceful waters....so nice.
