We will be staying in Rome for a few days before our Med cruise next summer, and a friend who travels extensively in Europe recommended www.venere.com. It's an interesting site!

Our friends stayed at the Novotel Barcelona City before the last Med cruises and said it was great. We're all staying there next year before the WBTA and they say children stay free for our dates :-)

For European hotels I book through hoteltravel.com and have gotten great deals.

For this October I got rooms in Venice for $120 CAD which was $100 less then then I could find anywhere else. In 2011 for Barcelona for less than 100 Euros booked Fira Palace, and had this huge room very close to the Magic Fountain.

We stayed at a hotel in Las Ramblas not far from the port that had a quad room named after Gaudi. That may be the name of the hotel. Not too expensive, internet access and breakfast included. Found it through a travel guide.

Another vote for the Novotel. Stayed there two weeks ago. Shopping mall behind it with a food court and supermarket. Metro stop 10 mins walk away. Hoho bus stop nearby and 25 minute walk to the Olympic port area.

Ask for a high room with a great view. I booked the breakfast included package as this worked out cheaper.

¬435 for three of us 3 nights with breakfast.
