What's for dinner?

Tonight I made these pork chops

with baked sweet potato
and brussel sprouts (with bacon and apples)

It was a huge hit!

What are you eating?

We had leftovers from last night's dinner.

In the slow cooker I made venison swiss steak, with potatoes and carrots, diced tomatoes and gravy. I used canned venison. It was delicious! And even better tonight as the gravy was a bit thicker.

And we had fruitcake for dessert. GOOD fruitcake, my MIL's recipe. She used to make it and give it to family, and I've sort of taken over that tradition and make it every year in her honor and memory (she passed away almost 14 years ago). Everyone loves it, and I just made a batch a few days ago and a second batch yesterday.

We HAD to cut into one of the smaller loaves, to make sure it was good.

Starting with a cold and after cooking last week couldn't bring myself to cook the porkchops I had thawed. So dh made fajitas with last night's leftover steak and I opened a can of corn. Easy and pretty good!

Pork chops and no applesauce? (Brady Bunch reference, lol) Anyways, what you made sounds tasty, even the brussels sprouts!

I'm going to have a microwave dinner.:P

We stretched some takeout from last night: Pad se ew, panang curry, and I took the leftover white rice and made it into ham fried rice (using up some holiday ham ). Also leftover pie and ice cream.
