Breakfast Crystal Palace or Cape May?

The breakfasts that I am SURE about are: Chef Mickey's, Akershus, 1900 Park Fare, The Wave, Boma, and Kona.....The remaining choice I have for a MK day is Cape May Cafe or Crystal Palace What do you recommend? Thanks in advance for your thoughts and insights

Most people rave about Crystal Palace, but we aren't fans. I would do Cape May. But it really depends on which set of characters you prefer and the location you prefer since the buffet food is so similar.

Especially since it is your MK day - I would do CP. We love it and make a point to go every trip.

Definitely the way to go! Wonderful breakfast foods and characters will greet every table.

Crystal Palace is my fave! I love that its inside MK. Plus the food is very good. And they even have a made-to-order eggs/omlette station!

What resort are you staying at? I wouldn't go to Cape May on a day that you are going to MK. It wouldn't make sense unless you were staying at one of the Epcot hotels and were already there. However, between the two options, I would definitely choose Crystal Palace. It is becoming one of our favorites.

My kids absolutely love Crystal Palace. The Pooh stuffed French toast is to die for! We love to do an early reservation for breakfast and then we are already in the park before official opening for a quick dash to Fantasyland or Splash Mountain.

While I prefer Cape May quite a bit over Crystal Palace, I would not pick Cape May for an MK day unless I was already staying at an Epcot area resort.

We are staying at Coronado Springs. Based on your recommendations, I switched my ADR from Cape May to Crystal Palace. Thank you for your advice

I have visited each of these a couple times over the past 16 months.

For me, Cape May gets the edge in the following areas:

Food - while the food at Crystal Palace is decent for a Disney buffet, on both trips, I thought the food at Cape May was somewhat better.

Character Interaction - While the character interaction at Crystal Palace is fine, Cape May has arguably the best character interaction of any character buffet. Plus, our kids are more into the main Disney characters than the Pooh characters.

Level of Chaos in the Restaurant - Cape May easily wins here.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, gets the edge in these areas:

Atmosphere - Crystal Palace has a more magical ambiance. The restaurant is prettier, has a more open feel, and is just overall more attractive and interesting. In contrast, Cape May, while having somewhat cute decor, lacks an overall "wow" factor.

Location - unless you're staying in an Epcot resort, Cape May is kind of a pain to get to, especially with a pre-park opening ADR. For anyone staying anywhere other than an Epcot resort, Crystal Palace is easier to get to and being able to walk down Main Street with a pre-park opeing ADR is just so magical.

Overall, we find ourselves continuing to return to both of these. If I could only pick one, it would depend on where I was staying. If staying at an Epcot resort, I'd pick Cape May. If staying anywhere else, Crystal Palace.

Disney Breakfast

Crystal Palace hands down...great food, great characters, period.
I can never pick my favorite ride at Disney World. Ok...Splash Mountain!

Crystal Palace! We've been to both, Cape May twice and CP every trip. Love the puffy french toast (at the kids station) and the made to order eggs/omelets (they don't have this at Cape May). Much prettier and open. We now go to MK for extra magic hours and have breakfast after an hour or so and then decide on the rest of the day. Great choice to switch!
