I just ordered the tour for our family. The price was 90 euro for four people.

Did it two years ago and enjoyed it for the mist part. Our guide was fixated on wenches and that got old, but it was worth it to see the lower and upper part. The views from the top over Ancient Rome are wonderful.

There are reviews of the underground tour mixed in on tripadvisor.

If you google it, there are also some blog posts about the experience.

Haven't done it, but would in a heartbeat. I have been in beneath the amphitheater in Pozzuoli several times (which is not half as well preserved as the Colosseum), and that was amazing to see. Every time I go to Rome I swear I'm going to find a tour that goes underneath it, and then run out of time before I can. They have recently uncovered some really fascinating things down there (like the discovery of the grooves where they raised and lowered the platforms that brought animals and gladiators to the surface, and in turn, a very sophisticated set of machinery that they used), and I would very much like to get under there and see everything. If you like archaeology, it's got to be amazing to see.

Of course, I could spend hours on the top side of the Colosseum too, so if you're not that into ancient Rome, I could see how it would get boring if it's not your thing.
