Marathon and MLK weeks

I need help deciding between two weeks for Disney, please.

1. 1/11-1/18. We wouldn't go to the parks on 1/11. I see that the Marathon is through 1/12.

2. 1/18-1/25. Again, we wouldn't go to the park on 1/18, not sure how late we will arrive, since we are driving from West Virginia. This is MLK week.

Which week would you go? I am more interested in crowd wise. I would rather go when it is less busy. We have gone two other times, two weeks before Christmas and the crowds were very low. We are taking the kids out of school, so MLK week, they would only miss 4 days.

I've never been in January. Thanks for your help!

Once the marathon is over on 1/12, the parks will not be busy at all. You just won't be able to get to the MK for an early morning ADR (like before 9AM) that morning. And Epcot will have running finishing the race until around 1-1:30.
