go with fidelity?

Found a great contract with Fidelity. Have heard bad stuff about them. Would it be a mistake to pursue a contract with them? What hidden costs do they have?

They have a $195 administration fee for buyers. I've used them for two contracts and had no complaints. Just be prepared to stay on top of them at each step, they deal with a lot of contracts.

I am a first time buyer using Fidelity. Our contract just went to ROFR this week. I agree w Missyrose that you need to stay on top of them. If you don't need your hand held through the process, I say go with whichever reputable broker has the contract you want at the price you want. that is what I did. fidelity may not have the most stellar customer service (they also are not open on the weekends) but they have a lot of inventory. So far I have had a few annoyances in the process but have no regrets at all about using them as they had what I wanted and have been responsive as long S I have stayed on top of them.

Their inventory is so superior to the other companies. I checked there today and could have my pick of almost a dozen suitable contracts. I don't like what I'm reading about long waits for responses, lengthy processes and the admin fee. Not sure if I should jump on these contracts or just go with TTS again. Resale is already a lengthy process.

we are in the closing documents stage and used Fidelity and Sharon was our broker and had no problems she emailed us every step off the way and when i emailed her i would get a response with in a few hours. im sure that they can get busy with everyones contract but for us it was nice and smooth we just did our wire transfer just waiting for the seller to sign closing documents.

It takes them a long time to remove contracts from their website once they are sold, so those dozen suitable contracts you saw may already be taken. You have to call and ask. That being said, I'm on my second attempt with them and am satisfied with them. There are things I wish they did differently, but as long as I find the contract I want, I don't mind.

We are using TSS and they have been great! We submitted and offer a Saturday 5/4, accepted the same day, and contracts were emailed to us within an hour. We went into ROFR on Monday, 5/6. They have great hours and are there even on the weekends.

No matter where you decide, good luck!

I have used 3 different resale brokers over the years, including Fidelity. IMHO they have more inventory because of their relationship with DVC. I also found that they were more willing to offer below asking price than some brokers. I had no problems with the Fidelity process and would use them again. In my mind it is a matter of which broker has the resort, contract size, use year and banked vs. stripped contract. Good luck with your resale process!

I am currently in the closing process for an AKV contract I purchased through Fidelity. My opinion is, I got a much lower price through Fidelity and am very pleased, however, I do think it takes more time and you do have to call them to get updates. I would also add that they do seem to have more contracts but they are slow to update and many of those contracts listed are not available. Bottom line is, if you are looking for the best deal, I would definitely recommend Fidelity, but if you are more concerned with time then I would say TSS. From my limited experience, with Fidelity you seem to have more ability to negoiate and with TSS they seemed to encourage you to offer asking price. Good luck

I have very same opinion on both broker, dealt with both, bought from both and still will deal with both, but look at my bottom line first.
