Tickets through getawaytoday.com vs. way.com

We leave this Sunday and will be in the parks Monday - Friday.

I still have not purchased park tickets. (The optimist in me was holding out in hopes of a special being offered at the last minute (e.g. tickets at Costco again, etc.)) But the time has come to buy!

Way.com prices out about $34 cheaper than getawaytoday.com. And $34 is $34. But, my question is.... are there any other "fine print" type details I should consider when deciding between the two? Any cancellation fees, rush fees, restrictions, etc.? Also, any personal experiences that would make you recommend one over the other?

I have only started hearing about way.com recently, so I don't really know anything about their reliability.

We have used GAT since 2004 for most of our trips with zero issues. They have a perfect record with us, a high customer service standard and we recommend them regularly. We find their policies to be both fair and clearly spelled out.

I've never used way.com so I can't speak to that.

We have used getaway though multiple times. We leave today for a shirt trip and used then again for this one. We've been really pleased with their prices and service.

I used my way.com tickets 3 days ago and they worked just like a ticket I would buy online at disneyland.com because that is exactly what they are. To be clear, there are two types of tickets from way.com - restricted and unrestricted. The restricted, cheaper tickets do not come with magic morning and are only good between the date ranges they tell you they are good through. I would have liked to buy these tickets but was unable to as my vacation days did not fall within their ranges. The unrestricted tickets are the tickets you buy online through Disney. As in, way.com basically buys them through Disney's website for you at a discount and then forwards you the e-mail from Disney. These also include the magic morning for park hoppers of 2+ days but are more expensive.

I have not dealt with GetAwayToday.com at all so I cannot give you any information there.

No fees or taxes using way.com. The price you see is what you pay. FYI the way bucks you earn can only be used for dining deals.

We have had good experience with Getawaytoday, and will use them again. I have also heard good things about Ares. I don't know Way.com, but I would be sure to look to see if there are hidden "handling" charges. We looked into ordering tickets through my husbands work. They looked cheap, but then hit you with hidden charges.

Update...

OP here...

I ended up purchasing tickets from Get Away Today, and they matched the price quoted on way.com! This felt best to me because Get Away Today seems to be more established and their cancellation policy (knock on wood we don't have to use it!) seemed more lenient. But, I was still able to get the lower price (for us, a savings of $35).

This is great news! I definitely trust getaway today so I may give this a try as well. Did you just call and tell them the price at way.com or did you have to provide them with the URL?

I'm interested to know what type of tickets you bought. Park Hoppers with MM? GAT doesn't sell tickets w/o MM right?
