From what understand... You can do it on the lotted day for your ressie since you have DV... But since they are a separate ressie and don't have DV, they would have to wait till its open for general public. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
When the discounts for Jan-Feb 2013 opened early for Disney Visa card holders in Oct 2012, we were able to have the discount applied to our daughter's reservation, too. We had each booked our own reservations and then we had them linked with a gathering number. That time the discount was for room only or stay, play and dine plan, not free dining. We took the room discount.

No, as long as the OP puts the minimum $200 payment/deposit on the other room they will take it and apply the DV FD code to the other reservation. I did just that for my BIL and SIL last year and we were on separate reservations :-)

I am getting a bit worried, I booked through a TA that we have been using for years, but when I booked I didn't use the Disney Visa. I called and have given her the Disney Visa number, but when I email her to see if she got it she has not responded. Can I call to have the FD added tomorrow, or does she have to? I am really worried since she said they don't always have FD for ADA rooms and we absolutely have to have a roll in shower for my aunt as she cannot get into a tub, her disability is so severe. I am stressing that she won't call for us right away and I don't want to lose out on free dining because of the ADA room allotment is sold out.

Nothing yet. I'm impatiently waiting for that release, too. It will be a couple more months before we know anything.

Your TA owns the reservation, and she is the only one who can modify the reservation. If you can't get in touch with her, your only other option is to book a brand new reservation and cancel the one with the TA if she doesn't come through for you.

Yikes, thanks for the info. She has always been so good about responding within 3 hours of getting my emails before, so that is why I am so worried, it has been over a week since I heard from her. I sent her another email just a few minutes ago, I hope to hear from her!
If I cancel the reservation with her I lose the deposit though, right? And she already booked the ADA roll in shower room, I really worry about losing that room too. I think I am getting grey hair and an ulcer about this! I just want this all done!
It would be tight for me without free dining, but for some of the other members of my party it will change everything. They can't afford to pay for the DDP and would be paying OOP, which is fine, but that means giving up all our ADRs and doing strictly counter service, and that would be such a bummer!

Since you are more than 45 days out, Disney will give you a full refund, so unless she has some sort of fee for her services, you would get your money back. She should not be charging you anything for her services, though.

Thank you so much for all the help! Se is not charging me for her services, if I don't hear back from her tonight I will call myself in the AM with everyone else! Unfortunately it will be 4 am for me, but at least I should be done in time to get ready for teaching, even if I am on hold for over an hour.

Does anyone think it's a coincidence that when I checked on the status of my income tax refund it said it would be deposited May 9? The day FD is supposed to come out.

Now that's probably a fate I shouldn't mess with, should I? JK. Maybe next year with next year's income tax. But glad to hear it's coming for everyone who's been waiting.

It may be a little late now but have you tried calling? Most TA's can be reached by phone most of the time or at least check thier messages even at nights and on weekends.

Okay the alarm is all set to call in at 6:00 am central time! Can anyone please verify for me what number I should be calling to add fd to my existing reso? Thanks for your help!
