We live outside of Chicago and ours is the last week in March. Darn! It seems like it is the most common time! Oh well. We will go anyways. We did in 2011 and the crowds were manageable.

Yes, it does seem to be the most popular week. I wonder how they all determine what week the specific districts have off. We are a bit nervous after reading how crowded it is during Spring Break as this will be our first visit to Florida. I'm sure there will be another visit but not for many many years.

The Spring Break mantra is Get up and Go EARLY!!! We pulled into the Magic Kingdom on the bus at 6:50 AM for a 7:00 AM EMH opening... Disgustingly early for anyway let alone vacation... But worth it when we were DONE at 3:00 heading back to the hotel after a leisurely long lunch.

We had luck last spring break doing just thus. We were there for rope drop. Headed back to the resort after lunch and spent the afternoon at the pool and relaxing. We would head back to a park in the evening. Now that we are no longer park commandos, we really love relaxing at the resort. We come back from vacation feeling recharged instead of tired. Hoping to get OKW - my boys request. My older two want to be able to shoot some hoops, while we swim with the younger two. Only 4 more months until we can book.

West Michigan checking in.

Our kids go to a private school and their spring break is always the first, full week of April. Luckily, in 2014, Easter is late so we would fall outside of premiere season. We're actually planning an October trip in 2014, though. There is a Christian Educator's Association (CEA) convention in late October so the kids are off on Thursday and Friday. We're planning on letting them miss school the preceding Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and heading down to the World. The ONLY reason we're doing this is because it is the week after my 40th birthday. I *really* wanted to celebrate my actual birthday (the 16th) at my happy place, but I can wait a week so that the kids don't have to miss a full week of school.

Who knows...plans might change and we may still go in April...or early June...it's all the same season next year.

This is my only trip planned for next year and it seems so far away right now.
I do love going to the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival in March!

Just curious what you think of the Spring Break crowds since you have been there for the past 5 years. It will be our first trip there and we are a bit concerned about the crowds. Sounds like waking up at the crack of dawn is the best idea then taking an afternoon nap and hitting the parks again in the evening. What do you think?

Me too! Our daughters have that same week off. We were going to try it, but have recently changed our mind and planning on January instead. Of course, we could still change our mind back too.....
