I like the idea of the Carioca's Market. It should replace Topsider and be more of the Dream and Fantasy style. That is what I am reading into it any IMHO.

That is what is going to replace PC. Topsiders is going to be redone to look like Cabanas. That matches the images that were seen on the designer's website a few months ago.

Love the Classic Ships, did not enjoy the Dream. Hope they do not change Animators Palate, enjoy it way more than the new TV screens. The current piano bars are never busy wonder why they would do too much there if not change to different type venue. Will have to wait and see if they over change and negatively impact their percentage of capacity numbers.

Guess I don't know what else to compare it to but the Dream last week and the Animator's Turtle Talk was all top notch to me! Best ship I've probably been on and the least lost I've ever been...

For the most part, I agree with you. One thing DH & I love doing after the show is the piano bar. I'm sad that the Dream class ships don't have one.

And I think it's OK that each ship has different things. I'm not fond of the idea that all the ships should offer the same experiences.

But, I think I'll like the "upgrade" to Parrot Cay and Topsiders. As to the waterslide debate, I think AquaDuck on the classic ships would just be too much. Maybe a scaled down version would work, I don't know.

Aquaduck is alright. It's not why I would cruise DCL again though. The devil is in the details...

Very happy to hear that the adult district will be revamped. We had heard that would happen. Diversions and Sessions were all but dead at night on our last two Magic cruises. The bartenders spoke of making the bar area more open and more inviting. Whatever they described for improvements sounded far better than what was happening now.

I can see adding something like the Aquaduck in the classic ships. We were on the Magic last week and the first thing my DD's said when I told them I booked another cruise was "Does it have the Aquaduck?". They really liked the Dream and Fantasy because of that slide, so I see it needs to have a feature like that.

IMO, they could do something similar without going over the side of the ship which won't ruin the lines so much.

I will be waiting until DCL send a press release do make any final judgement, however, based on this articles associated photos, I don't like the slide. Everything else sounds great, just not the slide.

Once again, I don't like the slide…

Here is the image of the slide.
Is that a picture of the slide that you don't like?

I can see why they are doing it, but it looks a little strange.

What *I* don't get is why they are ditching Monster's Inc right as the new movie is coming out.

I have to concur. My kids are used to and love the classic ships. But my brothers kids really missed the extras that the new ships have. And to be honest my kids can't wait until the next time they're on the fantasy.

I like having the options. If we want a ship that has more to offer then we can book the Dream and Fantasy. If we like a more laid back style then the Magic and Wonder would be for us. I don't like the idea of all ships, all the same.

If that slide is going to drop like that, it won't be for little kids!

They don't have Monster's Inc or Andy's room in the kid clubs on the classic ships. The article I saw was talking about what is on the new ships. It looks like the writer got the clubs for the classics and new ships mixed up. The classics have the pirate ship, some sea creatures for little ones to climb/slide on near the entrance and a computer/dressup room in the club and wide open areas for crafts and cooking with a big video screen in one part for the lab. I don't remember there being any real theam in the clubs on the classics like they have on the new ships. Even DD said that if they had those clubs on the classics she would have probably wanted to go there more because it would have been more fun.
