Rum Point Beach on your own?

Hi everyone, has anyone done Rum Point beach on their own in the cayman islands?

I just tried to book this beach excursion and it's not showing up. Seven Mile beach is gone too. Friends who have cruised more than us already booked this.

Just curious if we could do this on our own and if anyone has done this.

I know Seven Mile beach has been done. We do want lunch, chairs and access to restrooms.

Thank you.

Look up other tour companies and book through them, a cab is kind of expensive (over $100 each way) and you can't always guarantee that you will have a cab to get back to the ship. It's like an hour away from the port.

This was our favorite excursion - Rum Point is so nice! Sorry to hear they aren't offering it. When we were there, only DCL came to the beach that day. I saw no others so I am guessing it may not be available otherwise? It is a long haul on a catamaran to get there...

They are offering it. My friend, also on same cruise, booked it a few weeks ago. She has cruised a few more times than me so was able to book earlier. Also - cruisers might have booked after midnight or early this morning before me. I know there are always some spots offered on the beach, but we are a group of 18.

We might take a cab to Seven Mile beach/Royal Palms then - much closer and just a few bucks/cab ride.

thank you.
