Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

We are going on the cruse in September. I would love to treat my 5 year old to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Do you think it is worth paying for the Royal Sea Package?

If it's the package that includes a costume...then no. You can buy your own costume at the Disney Store when it's on sale or when they have a coupon and bring it onboard with you...unless you do mind paying that kind of $$$ (the costumes onboard were $65+ each).

I paid for the smallest package which included hair and makeup for $50 and we brought our own Tangled Gold Gown with matching shoes that I found, and my daughter was on cloud 9.

Doesn't it include a trunk of some sort and a picture as well? Value when looking at something like that is relative, IMO. What is worth it to one person, wouldn't be worth it to another.

My DD did this package last June and it was worth it to us. I knew this would probably be our last BBB before she would outgrow it.

I will be booking the Royal Sea Package for my daughter when we cruise in July. For me, it's worth it. She loves dressing up and gets so excited to get her nails done. She's only been allowed to wear make up for her ballet recitals so having it done by a fairy godmother training will be a big deal for her. Initially I planned to let her pick one dress up style but she wanted to do 3 then proceeded to give me her piggy bank to help pay. Since I think she may be getting close to the end of the princess stage, it's partly for me too.

She doesn't know about the trunk or the glass slipper so there is still that element of surprise for her.

Wow somehow I miss the trunk part. Looks like I will be saving up. It's once in a life time and this cruse is all about her. Thank you. Anyone have photos of the glass slipper?

Check out this thread...I've loaded some other pics along with the slipper towards the bottom.

Also a lot of pictures here if you want to look at costumes or other reviews.

DD was and uses her trunk every time she leaves the house for an over night stay.

Trunk

Can the trunk be purchased alone in the shop? If so how much does it run? Thank you!

Getting the trunk home

The trunk looks bigger than an airline carry-on. Has anyone tried to take this on a plane? I'm not sure if the fairy godmothers in United baggage will be as gentle.

That's a great question anyone know the answer? I would love to keep it with us so that is does not get broken.

Someone was talking about this in another thread that I remember: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3044232

So I think that yes, it will work as a carryon. Which is good, because I'm looking at doing 2 of these packages in August! My girls needed new, bigger suitcases, and they have been begging for the BBB, so this just might be the way to do it...
