Off site Wheelchair Rentals

A question for those of you who have rented wheelchairs from one of the 'preferred vendors' while you were at WDW.

In the past I have only needed to rent one of the park wheelchairs. But as my arthritis has advanced I now find myself needing one pretty much full time. The only 'preferred vendor' that I am familiar with is Apple. Anyone willing to give me a recommendation on the vendor that you used? How would you describe the condition of the chair you were given?

Thanks for your help.

Post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread has a list of off site companies that rent ECVS and wheelchairs. There is also information in that list about the amount of feedback from DIS posters about each company.

There is a lot of feedback from posters about some of the preferred companies and less about others.

Walker Mobility. I have used them for years and and will continue to do so. Great customer service and have always had the best rental rate. Highly recommended.

I have been using Walker for years too. They aren't a "preferred" vendor, but they were very easy to work with on this last trip to schedule the drop off and pickup to fit our schedule.
