Flower and Garden Festival Eats

I know that, obviously, the greenery is the main focus of the festival, but I have heard around the boards that people are excited because they now (is this new? Sounded like it...) have booths set up for food. I'm wondering what these consist of? I've heard them compared to the F&W booths, but since I'm a first timer, I don't know what that means.

How does the new(?) booths effect your touring strategy? Does it make the park more busy than it used to w/o the food booths? Will it be likely that I am able to book my ADRs later because more people will choose to "eat around the world"?

Thanks for any info!

Here is an excellent review with prices and full menus from all the food booths!

Oh god there are like 10+ things I want to try in these booths. I might need to book an extra day in the WS.

Those menus and pictures look yummy! I can't get to F&G this year and hope that they bring this back when I do finally get there a couple of years from now!

Oh...is this a special this year only thing?

I thought that F&GF was going to be like this "from now on"...

This saved me from having to stop and look at any of the booths.

There is not a single item, other than the grapes at Intermission Cafe, that I would eat even with someone else's mouth.

I'd probably starve to death in a foreign country. The German stuff all looks like someone puked on or next to it.

I may be the world's most boring eater. I guess that's why we never do TS unless we're on a cruise where it's included in the price. Then I don't feel bad about wasting all the expensive looking stuff and then eating the toppings off a piece of pizza afterwards.

OP, Josh over at easywdw.com took one for the team last month and toured, tasted and sipped his way through all the food and beverage booths at Epcot. Way to go Josh!! You might have to hunt a bit through his previous blogs, but he gave an excellent discription and review of the items he sampled. Great food porn as well.

That review had me reworking some of our meal plans for our Epcot days. We've decided to make a couple of 'progressive dinners' by just hitting the booths instead of restaurants. By all accounts the lines aren't very long.

I had to stop at Germany's savory bread pudding: extra yum. It looks like an unconventional chicken pot pie, and its got mushrooms and peas, too?!

Oh, yum! I forgot that the F&G also includes some tasty treats! Does it work like F&W where the dishes are sample sized/priced?

So am and but I'm really hoping some of the things that look safe actually are. I tried contacting Guest Services and the resort/park pdf they sent me is great but there is no information for the Garden Booths.

Really looking forward to the tomato salad (UK) and the watermelon one (Florida).

Kind of want to try the shrimp and grits, I'm just a little worried about the sausage not being safe.

FortForever, contrary to how they look German potato pancakes are delicious. They are a winter staple at my house. (Grandfather was German.)

The Epcot F&G booths are awesome! We were there March 31 to April 6. Hardly any lines at the booths - the cast members were commenting to us that they were going 10 minutes between customers. We couldn't believe it! DH and DS used that to their advantage

We left on a Saturday, and the weekend traffic at the booths had definitely increased.

The food was all terrific. My favorite was the crab tostada in Mexico and the German savory bread pudding, which I admit looks far less palatable than it is! Also loved the orange blossom beer in the Florida stand.

I hope Disney brings this back every spring!

I totally agree!! We were there the week before, the parks were insanely busy but there were no lines at the food booths...LOVED LOVED LOVED the German savory bread pudding, and the spiced rum Dole Whip was awesome! We stopped at every booth from Mexico to America and got one order of most things so we could all have a taste. Wasn't disappointed with anything. Didn't get past America though so I can't really comment on the rest of the booths. But, if you have the chance to go, go! And enjoy!!
