Yet Another Internet Question..Kindle Fire/Internet Cafe Computers?

I've searched and haven't found a ton on this. I have a Kindle Fire that I would like to use to just check Facebook (kids are ordered to post something daily). I see I can buy a package..on the Disney site it mentions Internet cafes and wifi but can't tell if some of the packages aren't available with Wifi..only Internet Cafe connections? Anyone know if all packages are same for WiFi as other ways to connect and if I can connect with my Kindle at hotspots to just check FB? Also, when do you pay for this? Can it be preordered?

Packages are the same and WiFi is now available in cabins and select public areas of the ship. It is slow and subject to outages.

It's slow... EXTREMELY slow. Many waste their minutes just trying to connect. Not worth it at all.

Look for public wifi at the ports - typically you'll need to purchase something and you get a code for it.

From the Disney cruise website

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/sh...services/#wifi

For sailings less than 7-nights:
Internet / Wireless Internet Access Pay as you go - $0.75 per minute
50 min for $27.50 ($.55 per minute)
100 min for $40 ($.40 per minute)
250 min for $75 ($.30 per minute)

For sailings 7-nights or longer:
Internet /Wireless Internet Access Pay as you go - $0.75 per minute
100 min for $55.00 ($.55 per minute)
250 min for $100 ($.40 per minute)
500 min for $150 ($.30 per minute

As for speed, think dial up speeds. It can be faster in the early mornings or late evenings.

Thanks..that is formatted better than what I had been looking at. How do you get a package? Do you have to go to GS and sign up? Are instructions on all this in the Navigator? I didn't pay much attention last time since I had no intention of using the service. We have a lot of sea days on this cruise..being in port (Key West and at WDW I can use my cell phone..is there reception in the CC port?)

At the internet cafes on the classic ships (there are no internet cafes on the new ships) you can sign up right on the computers.

I believe you sign up right on your device if not using the internet cafe.
