Renting Tuxs from Cruiseline Formalwear

Has anyone rented from the company Disney provides to rent tuxs? They forward to a company called cruiseline formalwear to rent tuxs. I'm a little nervous on what I'll end up with and getting the right measurements. What if something doesn't fit, are we just stuck with what we get? Do they provide decent tuxs for the money? The prices aren't terrible, so I'm hoping I'm not missing something that others would include.

We ordered for them for an upcoming cruise. It is our understanding that there is a tailor on board for minor alterations as well as some other inventory in case the size is totally wrong. We ordered the package with 2 jackets and not packing dress clothes was my husbands dream! The way we see it, even if it isn't perfect, he will wear it for remy where he will be sitting most if the time and even I'll fitting will be accepted as proper dress. We are risking it! But I too would like to hear feedback from others who have done it!

My DH has ordered from them twice and my DS once with no problems. Everything fit well and looked great! Just be on the safe side and measure as directed on the site Enjoy!

Should I go to a shop to get the measurements or just do it at home?

We went to Men's Wearhouse and had my DH and DS measured and then provided that to Cruiseline Formalwear.

It is super easy to do at home...they tell you exactly what to measure...we have had some bad luck getting measured other places. They certainly aren't as careful as you would be...they have nothing to lose since you aren't actually buying from them...

Cruiseline Formalwear

I used Cruiseline Formalwear for my recent 14-day EBPC cruise on the Wonder. Using the measurements taken from my local Men's Wearhouse, everything was a good fit, although I had ordered an "extra" shirt for a third formal night on the long cruise, and they provided me with a standard tabbed shirt made for a bow-tie, not the "long tie" shirt I had as part of the package I'd ordered. I didn't notice this until after we'd sailed, so I counted this as a "my bad" situation and didn't lose much sleep over it. Otherwise, I was happy with the order.

we have not rented a tux, but we found out a couple cruises ago that we can get dress shoes onboard for our boys for $12 a pair. Since dress shoes are not something we usually need- and for 5 boys they take up a lot of room- we rent them instead. Nice shoes and there is always extra inventory if the size is off.

How old is your son? I have a wee boy who will be six on the ship. I haven't decided between a tux or an Eton suit for him, but I was curious whether or not the rental place rented small kids sizes. I might end up buying one if I go that route, I guess.

imnsho, a 6 year old wants to look cool or "adult"....been there, done that

Hahaha! You sound like my husband. He still wears those little suits now, but a year and a half from now, maybe not so much. He's a rough and tumble little guy, so it kind of makes it funnier. I do draw the line (out of respect for my husband ) at peter pan collars. He used to object to bow ties too, until Doctor Who made them cool again!

I've ordered from:

http://www.tinytux.com/

for my DS for each cruise we've been on. It just didn't make sense for me to rent when I could buy one for $50-60. I highly recommend them!
