3 day trip for 5...ticket option...June 30-July 2.

Best option for tickets? Should I just purchase an AP when I get there? What would be the advantage? I read sometime before that with a family of 5 you would get a 20% discount on the AP pass which would be cheaper than a 3 day pass.

I'm super stressed about this for some reason. We arrive early on June 30 from the West Coast of Canada and I know we will be crazy jet lagged as we won't have slept at all! Is it worth going to the parks and getting an AP to use for the next two days?

Help!

if you intend visiting the parks for 3 days, an annual pass is the way to go. Fantasy annual passes cost 159 euros each at the gate at DLP, and yes, if you are a family of 5, all resident at the same address, you get 20% off each annual pass when you buy them altogether at DLP. Remember to take your passports with you for ID when you buy them.

if you have children aged under 12 in your party, cemultiavantages have even cheaper fantasy annual passes for DLP on sale, but I don't know if they will ship to you in Canada - you could always email them and ask?

Can you use them the first day, second day etc?

What's the catch? 636 euros for the 5 of us seems a good deal. We will only be using it for 2.5 days, but I think it seems the best deal. You also get discounts on restaurants and stores too, right?

I do have an 11 year old, but when I went to the site you sent it was all in french and I got overwhelmed!

yes, with fantasy passes you can use them straightaway and every day after that, as long as its not a blackout date (there are no blackout dates between 29th June and 6th July on the fantasy pass). Here are the discounts for the annual passes -

http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/bo...ual-passports/

no catch, its a discount ticket site, and your 11-year old gets a fantasy pass for 35 euros from cemultiavantages when you buy one or more adult fantasy passes at 125 euros each.

I use google to translate the cemultiavantages site.

Also - are you staying on-site or off-site? Because if you are staying off-site the Fantasy and Dream APs also give you access to Extra Magic Hours!

The link DLPdaft has is great for a summary of AP benefits too. If you think you will need to use the luggage storage or will be spending a fair bit on merchandise it might be worth getting at least one Dream AP (as you get free luggage storage and a higher discount in stores)...

We are staying at the Thomas Cook Explorer's Hotel and they will store our luggage for us.

So just to clarify, we show up and go to the gate and buy 5 annual passes and we get 20% off. If I buy them ahead of time, I can get my 11 year old for 35 euros. I live in Canada, so I'm not sure about shipping, so I think I'll just buy them there. We are only planning on going 2.5 days (not including arrival day) since we will be jet-lagged when we arrive, but we'll use the arrival day to go buy the passes and then see how much energy we have. Then we have two full days and we are considering about half a day for the third day. So we may get 2 full, 1 half and then whatever we can manage on the arrival day. (9 hour time difference and no sleep, hmmmm).

Question: Are there ATM's in the park? Just trying to figure out how many euros to bring ahead of time. I'm thinking 200 euros, so we have enough to pay the eze shuttle driver and then some spare. Once there, I'll get more from the ATM.

Any thoughts?

remember to take your passports with you when you go get your annual passes, you will need them all.

yes, there are atms in both parks in various locations, plus the Village.

Are they regular bank atm's, or are they the type that charge an extra fee? My bank only charges $5 when I use an international ATM at a bank, but if they are the other type, I don't know.

they are bank atms, I always get charged a fee for using them because I have a UK visa card and I'm using the card abroad.
