Thats so true; I don't ever get photos of Michael and me unless someone else is in charge, Photopass, or those tacky photos of photos.

I like the photo of us too. She posed us there. She was so cute.

I like to see what they find eye catching and interesting too. I love that she took the photo of the firehouse for Michael.

It was so magical. 1901 is hard to explain. Even though Walt didn't build it, it's all about him so you feel that magical Disney spirit. There's a spot in 1901 where Walt's shadow appears and then fades away. We tried to get a photo but it didn't come out. It was so very cool.

I like the pic too.

I am really behind on your trip report with everything going on especially this pas weekend trip. I am really looking forward to read the rest of your trip report. But I will start with this latest update from today.

Chloe did a great job of all the different pictures she took. Every picture that she took during your update was something very interesting to look at. The one that I like the most was you and DH in NOS.

Oh my gosh! This an epic trip with all the faboulous experiences for you and your family. I hope you don't mind me popping in late to read and comment. And at the BIG moment too!!! What a great anticiation photo of your DH at the door-bell.

You have such a beautiful family. I love your necklace in the photo with you and your DH.

That photo of the building from Rivers of America is the Haunted Mansion. You were looking towards Spash Mountain on the south side of the "river". I've toured the Dream Suite and it is absolutely fabulous. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and there is a terrace in the back that I believe connects to Club 33. Not certain but they served us champagne on that terrace. )

I look forward to reading more... especially this amazing part coming up....

You're going to flip. Disneyland is amazing. It's my favorite of the 6 parks I've been to. DCA is neat too. It's a lot like DHS but of course DHS doesn't have Carsland.

Hi Brenda. Glad you're here. Is never too late to join in.

The Dream Suite sounds amazing. Seriously just wow. How did you get to tour it? Champagne on the terrace, how fun!

Thank you for telling me what Chloe was looking at. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

Michael bought me that necklace in Epcot this past October. He bought it in Morocco with matching earrings.

I'm so very far behind but trying to catch up!
Love the photos. I'm dying to see Carsland. We haven't been to DL since 2007.

You are so sweet! I've browsed your other reports and they are all so fabulous. You have really created some amazing memories for your family! So did you grow up in So. CA? Sorry, nosey, I know!

The VIP tour that included the Dream Suite was through an association with my job. Here's a link to the Dream Suite tour if you are interested.

Ahhh a lovely story behind the lovely necklace!

Take care!

You'll love it when you see it. I suggest watching the movie prior to your visit. We did and it was uncanny how close you feel to actually being in the movie when on Route 66. Its remarkable.

Thank you for posting the link. The Suite is gorgeous and what an amazing experience for you. I also took a peak at your photos of Walt's apartment. I had no idea you could see the Jungle Cruise from the opposite side of the patio; neat info.

I've started your report from the beginning. I enjoy reading about the magical memories that we all make with our families. Your family is lovely.

Yes, I am from So Cal. Born in Long Beach, raised in Cypress, and then back to Long Beach before moving to Utah where we've been for the past 20 *gasp* years. Time flies.

Where do you live in So Cal?

Hi there Jenny. I'm familiar with Belmont Shore area of LB - especially when they had a Northwoods Inn there! Utah looks like a lovely place to live! I've lived in Orange County my entire life with the last 18 years being near Back Bay Newport Beach.

I thought you had mentioned something about having a friend in Seal Beach... My son worked at 320 Main in Seal Beach years ago. (Dislcaimer: I'm old and maybe making this stuff up?? ) Anyway, didn't know if you were familiar with that place.

Happy Mother's Day to you!

Hope you had a nice Mother's Day.

I worked on 2nd St for many years at Legends. It's a crazy small world. I've got a few friends that live in Newport Beach. It's so beautiful there. I miss the beach terribly.

One of my dearest friends lives near the pier in Seal Beach. I haven't been to 320 but have read great things about it. Mahe is also a favorite.

After Michael pushed the buzzer, a voice spoke and asked if they could help us. Michael replied that we had dinner reservations at 6:15. Within a few seconds, the door was open, Michael gave our name, and we were shown in. We were all giddy with excitement. Remember Chloe had the camera so the photos are almost all hers. I love it.

I do not remember the name of the CM that let us in. Gabby thought he was very cute though. He offered to take our jackets and backpack which we happily handed over.

His service was fantastic.

He offered to take a photo of the five of us:

Note Chloeís shoes, theyíll haunt me later in the evening.

The CM asked us if we wanted to take the lift:

Or the stairs:

We opted for the lift but not before Chloe took this:

And off the lift:

We got off the lift and were led to the table. We were sat in the same room as we were for my birthday, more near the center of the room, at a round table set for 5.

I was truly engaged in the moment so some of the details, with regard to the exact order of events, are fuzzy.

Hereís our table:

Our server introduced himself, gave us menus, a wine list, and engaged in general conversation. I wish I could say he was the best server we ever had but he simply wasnít. He seemed sort of bored. In all fairness, he could never match our level of excitement but later in the evening we did receive service comparable to our mood. Our guy didnít put much into it. It was a slow night which I wasnít expecting especially on Easter Sunday. Having served before I can say that it can be more difficult to give great service when its slow compared to when it was slamming busy. I watched him a little with his other tables and he was bland with them too. But donít worry, he didnít affect our mood whatsoever.

Our kind sponsor of the evening sent me photos of the menus so I could have a peak before our dinner. The first is the adult menu and the second is the childís menu:

The exterior of the menu:

The inside:

Our server came back, explained the menu some, and we ordered drinks. DH and I ordered a bottle of red and forgive me but I canít recall the name or anything. Got a photo of the cork though.

Gabby ordered a virgin Pina Colada. Chloe and Joshua ordered fruit punch. Club 33 fruit punch:

Our wine arrived and it was time for a toast, to US!

The big round table in the room was sat as were a few two tops. We ventured out onto the patio and enjoyed the view. We did this through out the entire meal, in between courses.

Iíll try to show the pictures in order and hopefully from the light, youíll be able to see the progression.

Love the charger pattern. Iíd like this china:

We chatted a bunch on how truly special it was to all be enjoying such a great meal and time together. Itís such a different side of Disneyland, away from the crowds and rides and still totally magical.

Continued in next post.

Because I wasnít taking the pictures and no one in my family really understands the appeal of food porn, I donít have a ton of food pics. What we lack in food porn we more than make up for in shots of Club 33 and beyond.

Our server returned and we ordered appetizers. I ordered the Trio of Heirloom Lentil Soup and it was delicious:

Gabby ordered a salad:

Joshua ordered the Sustainable Day Boat Alaskan Scallop:

He gobbled up the scallop but thought the sauce was funky.

Michael ordered the Regional Cheese Tasting:

And little Chloe opted out of an appetizer. She had her eye on the lamb chops and none of the appetizers looked appealing to her. We did have a bread basket or 3 which she enjoyed.

Instead of ordering dinner right away, we explained that this was most of our first time and if he wasnít needing our table, weíd like to dine slowly. He seemed fine with this and told us we should try to stay to watch Fantasmic! from the balcony. F! started at 9:30, could we pull off a 3 hour meal with kids?

His section never did fill up. This table wasnít sat all night and it was the table we passed to get outside and onto the patio:

Hereís a sconce:

Window coverings:

Here are various shots from and on the patio. The first is of the birthday boy:

It was so neat to look across instead of up in NOS.

And down:
