Help from Star Wars Fans out there

Bringing my DH down for Star Wars weekend the end of May, he LOVES star wars and planning a little scavenger hunt for him to make it even more special, at the end of his scavenger hunt I need for him to find something. I want something special, anybody have any suggestions out there what I could set up for him to find that would have to do with star wars? I know there are alot of collectibles out there, but have no idea where to even start..HELP!!!

I would suggest something with the fab 5 character(s) dressed as Star Wars characters. This merchandise is plentiful at the Disney Parks. There are shirts, action figures, pins, etc... I'm not sure what is available thru Disney's online store. There is always online auctions, too.

As a Star Wars fan, I have always wanted one of those FX Lightsabers, but never could bring myself to shell out the $100 for one. There's my $0.02

I would like to think that you could if you checked it. They'll let you check actual swords when you fly.

Definitely the lightsaber idea! Maybe you could bring just the hilt - I believe they are detachable but I could be wrong. Also, depending on how much you want to spend, they do have collectible lightsaber hilts that are exact replicas of the ones from the movies. Most come in some sort of display case as well.

Last year, you could make an appointment to get a figurine of yourself like Han Solo in carbonite. I don't know if they are offering it this year, but a reservation to do this would be a great Star Wars themed grand prize. And since it is mailed to your house after completion, no worries about getting it on the plane. My husband has the lightsabres, and they can be delicate. I don't know that I would want to take one on a plane.

The carbonite figure sounds great, but I have no idea how you would find out about that or how I could get a reservation if they are having it

If there is a chance you may be in California sometime in the future, I would suggest a tour of Rancho Obi-Wan with Steve Sansweet!

http://www.ranchoobiwan.org/visit/tour-rancho-obi-wan/

Next to visiting Skywalker Ranch, this would an awesome Star Wars gift!

*ETA: A $200 membership includes a free tour for 2 people. Steve Sansweet used to work for Lucas, and is known as one of the (if not the) biggest collector of Star Wars Memorabilia.

If the lightsaber idea isn't possible, you could always buy a special star tours name tag with his name engraved in the star wars language with one or two of the limited edition pins. The fact that the name tag is personalized is cool. The star wars merchandise tent should have a table with limited edition collectables that are pretty awesome.

If a lightsaber is soemthing you want to pursue, can you still make your own lightsabers at the toy store in Downtown Disney? If so, you could give a certificate representing a make-your-own lightsaber, and then go there later and do so. The realistic ones are a bit on the fragile side, not to mention long, and not easily concealed. If you wanted to give the realistic one later at home, you could also have the certificate mention this was a substitute one.

If you don't have a lot of money, I would vote for a Darth Tader. I just think they are cool.
