DH and I went in Sept of 2011 and had a fantastic time. We did not experience the big crowds being talked about here, and it was the very first party of the season. It was too hot for full on costumes for us, but there were several brave souls who did dress completely. We just wore fun t-shirts. But the party was lots of fun and the CMs really get into it and have a blast along with you. I would say GO!

Also! They have perimeter fireworks which they only do on special occasions. The fireworks circle the castle and r too cool!

We're glad we did it once but not sure we'd do it again!

I went last year on my solo trip, and it was great!! I went the night before Halloween, which I think was sold out, but it didn't feel terribly crowded at all, except at the parade. Halloween is my favourite holiday, so I dressed up, and saw a lot of other adults without kids dressed up, too...some in very elaborate costumes! The parade was great and the fireworks were incredible. I would go again in a heartbeat!

No. It's not worth the price. SWW is free and you get a lot more. Skip paying for MNSSHP and spend going somewhere else. If you're not a kid, it will be disappointing.

Totally disagree with this. My fiancé and I have been to MNSSHP the past two years and we're going again this year -- but we don't have kids. We love all the fun character meets, the parade and fireworks alone make the price worth it to us and we are usually having so much fun doing everything else, we forget to go trick-or-treating.

Went in 2009. Let me preface this with stating that I am not impressed by the regular wishes fireworks. Seen better here on 7/4. The parade and fireworks for mnsshp are worth the admission price alone. The villain show is also great. This is definately a do.

We've done it twice, 2008 and 2012, both times were a Tuesday night in mid October. Both times we had a great time and really enjoyed the party. My kids loved the costumes and candy, I loved walking on to every ride. To me, that alone makes it worth the price.
