I've went the last 4 years, once with my children and 3 times with friends. It's a blast either way.

My husband and I went in 2011 with my then 23 yo daughter and her 25 yo boyfriend... we had a great time. My husband Was 47 and had just as much fun as the kids we saw in the park. He loved the candy he ate for weeks too.

I had the same question. I'm planning a fall 2014 trip for me and DBF (no kids). I noticed one PP didn't dress up and others did. What is the percentage of adults in costume? What types of costumes are suggested for riding rides?

I would essentially agree with this. See it once it's cool but I wouldn't cry if you told me I'd never get back to it again.

OP, depending on when you want to go to the party, this may not be a good suggestion for you.... A lot of the Halloween parties tend to sell out well before the actual party nights... I suggest purchasing your ticket in advance and hope you have a great weather night.

According to the OP's ticker, she's going to be there the first week of October, and I wouldn't expect any dates during that week to sell out. The one on Halloween definitely will, and maybe some of the last ones before Halloween, but I don't think I would say that a lot do.

We went last Sept., I am glad we did it once as the parade was great, but we will not do it again. It actually poured on our party night, so the parade was delayed and was extremely crowded.

Also odds are the party will not sell out, but it is possible. There were a few sold out parties in Sept last year.

I think this is good advice.

I have been to three parties over the years, all with adults=only groups. We did have fun; the parade alone is worth it! Besides the party activities, we actually loved the fact that rides were true walk-ons. Rode several times in a row without ever having to get off the ride!

i would like to know this one too! once i told people at work i was thinking about going, they were trying to convince me to dress up... i am not a big costume person (mostly because i dont feel comfy in one as i am not all that thin...) and if itis warm or rains i dont want to be bogged down, plus i would have to get said costume on a plane... idk... hopefully somone will have an answer...

maybe i will embrace my geekness and do a Star Trek uniform lmao

Maybe half of the adults are dressed up and half aren't. You won't feel out of place either way.

DH and I did it without kids and I'd say it's worth it and you will not feel out of place at all. However, my only hesitation would be that if it's pouring rain; I don't know how much fun it would have been. It's tough because at certain times if you wait the tickets will sell out, but if I knew it was going to be a deluge, I would not "waste" the money because then I think it's not worth it. Especially if it's raining AND cold.

DH and I have been a few times and loved it...as 40+ adults without kids. We don't wear costumes, mainly because of international luggage issues (prefer to do carry-ons only) so we compromise with Halloween t-shirts. We've never had anyone look at us funny, and CMs are happy to give adults just as much candy as the kids get...

It was something we were really looking forward to on our October trip last year. I had purchased tickets in advance and arrived early at the party. At 6:30pm the skies opened up and the entire party hours were spent in a driving rain storm with no parade, fireworks or character meet and greets. There were however folks trick or treating. In the future I will purchase tickets on the night of and risk it being a sold out date. Lost 120$ as the "party was not cancelled", just certain parts of it.

My husband and I are going to Disney by ourselves next fall, and we're definitely doing MNSSHP. I've heard great things about it from my family- my brother and SIL have done it twice now with my niece. Haven't decided whether I'm going in a full-out costume yet, but I'll definitely be wearing something Halloween-themed.
