Concierge Advantages?

So aside from the totally awesome room, what advantages does concierge offer? I assume you have someone willing to make shore plans for you... What else? We are considering this for an upcoming vacation and my hubs feels the large space alone makes it worth the extra money, but I am not as convinced....

Depends on the ship and category. There are staterooms under concierge that are basically the same in size as a deluxe family verandah.

The new ships do have a concierge lounge and concierge deck among other things.

My really good friend upgraded to one of the concierge suites on the Disney Wonder. From what I recall she said that not only will they arrange any port adventures for you they will also book reservations at Palo or Remys, they will also bring any food that you want to your suite from any of the dinning areas, she also enjoyed her standing order for breakfast when they made up her dining room every morning. One day I will upgrade to one of these concierge suites but since I basically travel solo I can't justify the cost.

The MDR dinner and hot breakfast delivery perks are only for Cat T and above. Cat Vs do not have this luxury.

I should have stated that this would be aboard the Wonder, in a 1 bedroom suite with concierge.....

The allure of the large verandah is definitely pulling me in....

On the Wonder your concierge host will be your conduit to Guest Services, kids' club, nursery, Palo, Port Adventures, spa. I have heard people say that their host even took their gift cards down to GS for them to be applied to their account. If you can afford it, do it!

This is true! In February on the Magic, Danny took about 10 gift cards and some cash from me in our room and applied it to our account. He insisted that we never needed to go to GS for anything but should call him instead. So, we did and it was amazing! Then he tracked me down in the line for the princesses in the lobby to give me the account statement. I agree, if you can afford it, DO IT!

We were just on the Fantasy and stayed Concierge. Basically, we never stood in line at guest services, shutters, etc. The concierge took care of applying a disney reward card and cash to our bill, picked up our photos which we ordered with them on an ipad, handled spa reservations, signed my husband up for spin class, etc. Getting escorted onto the ship in the separate line was also very cool. I don't know what it would be like without the lounge and private sun deck which we very much appreciated. The lounge is where we always found the concierge staff. How do you interact with them on the Magic or Wonder?
Anybody think they will put a concierge lounge on the Magic somehow during drydock?
