Chef mickeys, WCC or Kona for dinner

Surprisingly never been to either except Kona breakfast. We're staying at BLT and going back to MK after dinner. Which would you recommend for good food and get us in/out fairly quick?

TIA

Experience/Atmosphere wise, I'd go w/ Whispering Canyon Café. It's fun, plus the food is usually okay to good as well.

For in & out quickly, I'd go w/ Kona. The food is usually good, &, additionally, it will be a quicker meal (both the meal itself & the transportation via monorail).

When we eat at WCC, I normally try to plan it for a time where we're not in any kind of hurry after our meal. We've never had a "quick" meal at WCC - service has always been kind of slow.

The dinner buffet at Chef Mickey's does not get good reviews typically. We always have breakfast at Chef Mickey's instead.

Kona all the way. Love the food, service and atmosphere and you can relax and enjoy your meal and also enjoy a wonderful dessert. You can then hop on the monorail when you're finished and head right back to MK.

Kona for the food, CM for there and back quickly and atmosphere. As close as Kona is for MK, CM is even better.

I have never been to WC so can't comment.

Wait a minute, what am I saying. IMHO, the food is so much better at Kona it is a no brainer.

We just ate at Chef Mickey's last week...never again! Poor quality, terrible selections and the character interaction was minimal. We have tried it...but not one person in a party of 10 thought it was anything worth doing again. I am not a picky person and generally don't mind buffets...but CM wasn't even considered an average buffet in my opinion...it was way below average.

We booked Kona for our July trip and we are staying at CR. Chef Mickeys is a go-for-the -characters restaurant. I don't like the silliness of WCC.

I agree with doing all three. We have done two of the three in the past and are doing them all for our June trip.

CM on our first night to start off the vacation. I too have read the reviews but I don't really get what the gripe is about the quality. It is a buffet. A buffet is a buffet. If you are going to a buffet for quality food you are going to the wrong place. It is an edible meal with numerous characters for the kids to interact with. For us it is about the kids and seeing them get a little one on one time with the characters.

We have not done Kona before but have done the snack/coffee area just outside of it. We are staying at the Poly so for us eating there at least once, if not more, is a no brainer.

We loved the WCC. Yes the cast members are part of the act/show/enjoyment of the meal. If you are able to lighten up when eating and have fun with them, it is a good time. However, it is not a quick meal. I think this due partly to the interaction. If you are looking for more of an experience where the waiter/waitress simply takes your order and brings your food and then your check then you should dine elsewhere.
