"We Couldn't Wait to try _______, but it was a letdown"

For us, had to be "Via Napoli"--- Definitely not the worst meal we've ever had, but honeslty, liked the pizza better at "Mama Melrose"---

(Very soggy crust)

We had a really nice server, but the service was slow, and we felt really cramped--- tables were very close together-

Heard such great things about it--- will try it again, but wanted to really love ! Been looking for a new TS at "Epcot" for while now---

Anyone else??

Kona Cafe, for dinner. Couldn't get O'hana for our trip and I heard some great reviews of Kona so I thought this would be a nice alternative. In one word . . . NOPE!

Service was nice but really sslllooowwww

I had the sushi and it wasn't horrible, just not very good. Whole Foods sushi is comprable imho.

DH ordered the fish of the day and somehow the kitchen forgot to put the sauce on it. It took nearly 10 minutes to track anyone down to get it fixed -- and when it was fixed the fish was cold, and rather tasteless.

On the upside, our DD liked her meal.

Like OP, it wasn't a wretched experience but there are so many other options at the world that I just don't see us going back. But hey, we had Kona Longboard Lager so we survived!

Tusker House.

After two trips and two fairly bad experiences, we're not in a hurry to go back. Also, I think we must be the only people who have had bad experiences here.

Le Cellier.

Cramped and dark. Food tasted like it had been dragged through a huge pile of salt. Steak was over cooked and not very tender.

Just not worth the hype.

Now OP, I would try Via Napoli again. When you do, request that they cook the pizza longer. So many people complained about the traditional char that I think they reduced the amount of time they leave the pizza in the ovens. Which means it does not get as crisp as they should.

While the food wasn't bad persay, the service was.

I guess where our table was, it was situated right at the end of where the skewers would run out of meat, and instead of starting off where you ended, they would go back to the beginning of the tables.

The salad, apps, and sides came out fine, but it took nearly 30 minutes after that to finally get the meat at our table.

Steak was just meh. Quite disappointing. And I didnt care for the soup either. Huge disappointment.

OHANA (dinner).
Didnt care for the meat, poor quality. Wings were slimy and awful. Pot stickers were dry. I dont understand what the hype is about? The food isnt even great.

JulieBug, I'm with you! We were looking forward to Tusker House the MOST on our trip 2 years ago, and it was by far the worst meal, service and experience of our two weeks in Orlando.
It is not even on the list for our upcoming Dec. trip.

Park Fare dinner

Characters were ok but didn't make up for the very lackluster food.

Ohanas for dinner. It was mediocre. Same with Kona Cafe for lunch.

The food was so over cooked and dry. We didn't enjoy it at all. Service was really slow too. The only positive was the bread pudding.

Jiko - We didn't find the menu exotic at all. The food was very avg., with the exception of the appetizers. We expected more from a restaurant with great reviews. We've had non-signature restaurant meals that were better.

Another vote for Tusker House. We didn't enjoy the food and the characters were rushed.

Le Cellier. While the food was OK- it was just that, only OK. I didn't like how cramped in we were either. The service was fine and the meal was fine, but it is NOT worth all the hype.

Le Cellier for us, too. I kept thinking, is this what all the fuss is about?
