First time cruiser/ Atlantis excursion

We are heading out on our first cruise ever at the end of May. We have booked the Atlantis Aquaventure in Nassau. Our ship is due to arrive at that port at 9:30 am when we booked the excursion the latest time we could choose was 9:45am. Is that the time we have to check in at Atlantis or can we get there whenever? How do we pay for this? Do we check in at Atlantis or will we have our passes before going? I read that it is about a 20 min drive from the port. What kind of transportation should we use? We will also have our 2 children on the cruise. Will the ship let them stay in the oceaneer clubs while we go out on the excursion? Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Did you book it through DCL or privately?

Usually there will be a meeting place just off the boat. They will provide a bus (usually) to transport the group.

When we went to Atlantis there were several taxis lined up to take you back to the port one said it was taking people to dcl. So we took that one. I think it was $2 a person.

Yes you will meet in one of the clubs on the ship, get off the ship and get wrist bands for whatever you are doing at Atlantis. They will then take you over in a small bus, it takes only about 10 min. When you are done you catch the same tour buses back to the port. Dont know about the kids club our kids came with us.
