from the ship I would say the xmas ornament if you don't want to spend much. As far as ports, we like to collect interesting magnets. Picked up some nice ones in both Cozumel and Costa Maya.

When we docked in Cozumel, I saw one of those bracelet make-it people and had them make ones with the name of the restaurant on them for my fellow servers and boss. I was able to get them for about $5 a piece instead of $8.

I always bring back Tortuga Rum treats, whether it's a rum cake, rum fudge, or the ever popular rum infused chocolates (sort of like a turtle). All are appreciated and enjoyed immensely!

Rum cake sounds perfect or another similar type of item. I often bring my coworkers tea, but I work with a bunch of tea drinkers.

I've brought back mickey head coconut treats (they come in a box and were sold in the gift shop), magnets or key chains from the port (much less expensive than buying on the ship), and even shell necklaces (the woman originally wanted $5 a piece but when I told her that was more than I wanted to spend because I wanted 12, she knocked down the price to $40 total).

a really inexpensive souvenir that one of my staff brought everyone back was she wrote "Scarborough BEAs 2010" (basically the job title of our team and the year) in the sand where the ocean was gently washing over it - took a picture and printed them for everyone when she got home (she's a great photographer). If you wanted to take the time, you could write people's names in the sand on castaway cay and take a picture for them - something like "Hello Sandy Castaway Cay 2013!"
