This may be what the poster is referring to. Part of the limited time magic for passholders.

Although, I am a passholder and I am having a hard time finding anything official.

Not official, but Al Lutz is reporting it. See

and scroll most of the way down to the paragraph titled Monstrous Hangover

I just searched the AP Disneyland website and couldn't find anything, but I did discover something odd. On May 24th there are no standard or view room rates for passholders at the DLR hotels and even for concierge the price jumps way up from the night before ....hmmmm.

It's not official yet (although the CMs I know are saying it's a go too). It's part of the "Monstrous Summer" promotional event for Monsters University - I think the 24-hour event is called the All-Nighter. But it hasn't been announced for Disneyland.

WDW had a press event today about the Florida events for "Monstrous Summer" and I thought Disneyland was going to have a press event today too, but I haven't seen anything. Maybe tomorrow or Monday.

Disneyland had a small press event today about Mickey and the Magical Map, but the big summer media event isn't until late May.

Good to know. Thanks! So I wonder when they'll announce it?

This should be fun, and hopefully not as chaotic as last year's 24 hour day. If I'm around the area, I'll definitely try and be there for at least part of the day.

May have to make a trip down... although the crowds will be horrible - I think it'll be incredible fun with some friends and the crowds may add to fun. I may be wrong, but, YOLO, right?

I'm wondering how this is going to work with annual passes that are valid the 24th, but blocked the 25th, do they kick them out at midnight? Or no park hoping after midnight?

To answer the OP's question, yes, definitely expect crowds especially after all the locals get off work and make their way to the parks. It was jam packed when we went on leap day! We arrived around 6:00 or 7:00 and DLR was at capacity so they weren't letting anyone in once we got in line. We waited about 15 minutes before they reopened the turnstiles. However, we expected crowds and figured lines for rides would be long. We took our time and had an absolute blast. Had breakfast at Cafe Orleans at 3:00 a.m. and watched the sunrise which we've never done at any Disney Park. If you go in with reasonable expectations you can still have a good time.

ETA: Oh, one more thing. The atmosphere for the event was more "adult" than usual so I wouldn't recommend taking little ones past a certain hour. Besides, they'd be too tired to enjoy themselves. I saw a lot of parents with little ones even during wee hours, not cool.
