Since I got home from work two hours ago I've run one load of laundry, dusted the family room, swiffered the hardwood and ran the dishwasher. Not my normal, but DH is out of town and I get more done when he's gone.

Not today but Monday we were all home and spring cleaned 2 of the bedrooms. Moved & dusted furniture, murphy'd the walls & baseboards, swept the floors, cleaned the ceiling fan blades (windows were washed in the fall). Oh so nice. I love that smell and it's been so long since we've done it. Tomorrow we are doing one more bedroom and the last one will wait for next weekend. It's a lot of work but with 5 of us all working together it goes fast. Kids are on spring break this week. The downstairs will happen another time too. Want to get the whole house scrubbed down! Dang it's a lot of work and so hard now that I'm getting older.

2 upstairs bathrooms, washed the floors then emptied drier and the dishwasher so I could get the pans I needed to cook dinner. Just finished up the dishes and folded the laundry. My incentive was being able to watch Nashville guilt -free tonight!

Before I could cook dinner this evening, I had to empty the dishwasher so I could fill it up again, wipe down the stove and countertop, and wash all the non-dishwasher stuff. Then I cooked, messed up the stovetop, and have more dirty dishes to load the dishwasher.

I hardly ever have to clean as my DDs do most of it for me - aren't I lucky? I did load the dishwasher last night, and it is my (only) job to unload it, but I got a pass this time because I loaded.

After washing the dinner dishes I put away the Easter decorations, vacummed, & then gave the dog a bath. That's enough cleaning for me for today.

That's funny! I cleaned out my sons aquarium tonight and added a few new fish. It really needed to be cleaned!!

As for the last thing I cleaned, ME! I just got out of the shower and washed and straightened my hair. Now a quick shower in the morning and I'm good to go! I hate doing my hair!!

I'm on vacation this week.

I've kept up with the standard stuff: laundry, dishes, tidying up.

But I spent all day yesterday making up my final exam. I teach high school geometry, and our final exams are due to the department chairs sometime soon. I'll make a few tweaks, then email the draft to the other 2 geometry teachers for their approval today.

That was the BIG job that had to get done this week. The housework was more or less under control because I hosted Easter dinner-- that was the deadline for getting the housework done.

There are a lot of things I would like to get done, but somehow I never even start. There is so much basic work to do, like cooking, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and so on, that there is not enough time to something like cleaning out the basements on top of it.
I have the feeling that I'm more reacting than acting.
