I don't care if you think it is a stupid idea!

I'm ordering birth announcements for my daughter. Yeah she's 6 1/2 years old but its never too late and plus, I never did one. I want to do it now.

Let me be the first to say that yes I think it is a stupid idea but you don't care what others think so why even post it?

sooo you are going to spend money to buy and send out cards annoucing your daughter's birth from 6 years ago? Do the people not know about her yet? Are you going to use a baby picture of her current picture?

Couldn't you just have something cute made that is meaningful to you instead?

Why stop with just the announcements?

stage a babyshower, and a rebirthing all in one at a very expensive venue that people are expected topay for thier own meal and bring you a gift off of your registry as well....

good luck with this one OP

Are you ordering these just for yourself, to tuck away somewhere? Not what I would do, but that I can understand.

Or, are you planning on mailing them out? THAT would be very odd to me--and I think the people receiving them would be confused as to what kind of reaction you wanted. Gifts? A congratulatory call about the "birth" of your daughter they have likely known for years.

The latter. It is just for me. If I mailed them out I'd be put in the bin. The looney bin, that is.

But don't let them know they will have to pay their own way until they eat their meal.

Also, be sure to request money as a gift. It would be a plus if you had a cash bar.

Thanks for the idea!! I feel guilty sometimes looking at my son's baby books because I was so bad about filling stuff out. They haven't seen them yet!

I think this is a fun idea and if your daughter is willing, you can do a fun photo shoot with her.
