Can't decide on room type!

I am booking a last minute trip on a 3 night cruise (april 25) and im not sure which room type to pick

inside stateroom with magical porthole IGT- $947
verandah VGT- $1126

would a verandah be worth the extra $170 on a 3 night?

We've cruised only once before and we had the 2 small portholes on the Magic

Only you could say if spending the extra money is worth it. Me, personally, I won't consider an inside. I have problems with feeling stuck, so we've only booked a verandah before. Others will say that for a 3 night you won't spend time on your balcony. But, that's my favorite place to be first thing in the morning. I love just sitting out there, if only for 30 minutes at a time.

Have fun choosing!!

Do you like to go-go-go on a cruise, or are you more of a laid-back relaxed cruiser? If you're always out and about then you wouldn't use your balcony as much as the relaxed slug (like me)

I would do the Veranda.

We have cruised inside, oceanview and veranda before.
It isn't a must to have a veranda but it sure is nice.
Love to see and hear the ocean, in the morning hanging out for a bit!!!

Would i suggest it for every cruise, no. But for $170 i would say jump on it!!!
I assume this price is the total difference not per person because that would changey answer...
$170 is a bargain price but when it's more then i would think again...

A 3 day cruise will go by so quIckly, I don't think it will make much difference. But that being said for only $170 I'd go for the verandah. You'll probably get a bunch of different opinions, but you have decide for yourself, based on what you can afford & what you feel comfortable with. Enjoy your cruise whatever you decide.

The others have asked great questions to help you decide.

My first cruise 7 night we had a verandah.

My second cruise 7 night I had an inside room. I was traveling solo.

I only spent time in my room on the second cruise when I was sleeping or getting ready for the day/night. So I think it really depends on how you're planning on spending your days onboard.

Go for the inside...the virtual portholes are cool. Then, spend the extra $170 on an amazing spa treatment!

Depend....

I would do the veranda only if it was $170 total more and not $170 pp. We have done veranda and spent at the most only half hr a day on it.... so nice to have but not having one would not ruin our cruise. Since we have done, inside, ocean view and veranda.

We usually choose a porthole stateroom. The extra money for the verandah often comes to several hundred dollars - I can relax in many, many places on deck and use that money for other extravagances.

You are looking at spending $179 for the Verandah. If that is a lot of money or worth the verandah depends on you. Some people think $179 is tip change and some look at that as a weeks worth of food for the family. I always book the inside rooms because we spend very little time in the rooms, we would rather be out enjoying the ship. That is also money we can save for our next vacation can come sooner.
For you, ask yourself
is $179 a lot of money?
is there something more productive I could spend the $179 on? Maybe a special spa treatment?

Thanks for the quick replies!
I Have a lot of thinking to do.
My hubby is a relax and do nothing kind of guy, I'm the opposite I don't want to miss anything.
I think the verandah would be a nice surprise for him .Last time he did have nose against the tiny portholes for hours at night looking at the water.
If I book a verandah through dreams unlimited I would get $50 OBC(I think)
but with an inside room I will have a little bit of extra money.
Looking at what people spend on verandahs $170 difference doesn't seem like much
hhmmmm..... my brain hurts

we are also spending 2 nights, 1 day at WDW before we go if that matters

A nose job to straighten his bent nose is going to cost more than $179.

For such a short cruise, I *was* going to say don't bother... until I read this. Now I say go for it as a gift to your husband. :D

I would absolutely spend the $170 for a verandah. Just imagine your own little piece of paradise. Sitting out there enjoying the ocean breeze. Having breakfast or coffee or a glass of wine out there. Enjoying the view but at the same time enjoying it privately. Is that worth $56 per day to you?
