To me CSR is a notch above the rest IMHO.

POR is our 2nd favorite, followed by POFQ.

CBR is a distant 4th...I just don't get it ..It's not me thats all.

CSR - Has always had the best bus service out of all the resorts we've visited. Never a wait never full, and right on schedule..

CSR - Main feature Pool, is perfectly themed Very gig, and has an awesome slide,
also has a nice hot tub.

CSR - Rooms are all up to date (Ronevated as of 2009 or10 ) I believe and have comfy queen beds.

CSR - Pepper Market , many people don't like but I like it more so than the traditional food court...To me it's just easier to navigate, & sit down once u do get your food... Lots of choices too.

CSR - Great TS rest. & Cafe Rix is very good as well....

CSR - 2 different themed area that you could stay in, each w/ it's own unique decor.
All the mods are good but to me CSR is like a Deluxe-Lite.....

Good luck in whichever you choose...

I've stayed at all of the Moderates, and the only one I don't like is CBR. It is just way too big! Too many bus stops, which made it feel as if you spent a long time just riding around the resort before heading to the parks. Or before getting back to your room. Plus the food court is no where near as good as those at the other Moderates.

You can't go wrong with any of the other 3.

Wow! Thanks! Glad to see POFQ is a favorite. I am looking forward to the small resort but just thought to ask what were some of the favorites. I agree that from the pictures that the pool may not be all that. The discount at others mods is kind of tempting.

Remember if you stay at POFQ you are allowed to use the pool at POR. They are sister resorts, so it is ok by Disney that you do!

Except there are 3 different themed areas.

CSR is our favorite mod and among our top 3 WDW resorts including all the deluxe and villas.
One + I'd like to add is the CMs are beyond wonderful.

We love POR. We stayed in one of the mansions and it was located close to everything POR had to offer. We will request the same building this trip. We found it to feel newer and cleaner than POFQ, and the fact it gets discounted makes it a big winner for us.

Have you stayed in a preferred room? My preference is close to everything so that's why we booked POFQ but wanted to see if anyone stayed in a preferred room at POR?

The only mod we haven't stayed at is CS. POFQ is our hands down favorite for the size and peace and the DTD boat! We're DVC owners now so we don't usually have to worry about resorts. But our next visit we'll be using up our points for the cruise so we'll pay OOP for a room and it'll be POFQ.

I almost forgot... BIEGNETS!!!!

No. We stayed in a Garden View room in Magnolia Terrace. It was very close to the pool, the main buildings, and the last bus stop (although we used our car most of the time).

Yes, but they were redone several years ago, whereas POR's were redone just last year, and shortly before our stay there.

We stayed in Preferred at POR. It was nice - no issues - but the Garden View was equally as nice.

You will be limited to Alligator Bayou as Preferred. Mansion buildings are not preferred, except for the Royal Rooms.

POR & POFQ are equally as nice. The food court at POR is the best on Disney property - anywhere!

As others have mentioned, you can share the pools & property advantages of both resorts with just a 5 or 10 minute walk between them. Port Orleans is a fantastic resort - whether it's Riverside or French Quarter. You will LOVE it there!

Actually POFQ was just redone in 2011. Which is why discounts for POFQ are hard to come by.

I stayed at POFQ in 2010 and was happy to stay in the old rooms one more time before they were changed.
