Tracy Fjord Question

Does anyone think that Disney will ever offer the small boat excursion in Tracy Fjord that gets you very close to the glacier? This tour is offered by other cruise lines. I believe its ran by Allen Marine.

You can't miss my DH. He's a big burly USMC redneck w/ a fanny pack and acting like a kid who can't wait for the next ride at WDW.

IMHO, when we were there earlier this month, there was so much calving, that I think it would be way too dangerous to get close to the glacier.

Hmm.... HAL does it's main glacier viewing at "Glacier Bay" just West of Skagway, but offers a smaller Tracy Arm boat shuttle to get close to the Steward Glacier to save time.

Disney Wonder does NOT do "Glacier Bay", so it's itinerary is to run the WHOLE cruise ship up Tracy Arm to do the Steward Glacier viewing.

To clarify.... how close do you want to be up to the Steward glacier??? It's kinda dangerous to be at the base of a melting glacier crashing on top of you in a kayak.
