Is the Mexican place in the Capital District? We've been trying to find one...

Sorry, no it isn't. I don't remember going to any real Mexican restaurants when I lived up there, I was a pretty boring eater back then

I always liked Taco Pronto (fast food) near SUNY but as adult I'm not sure if I would now.

...Paisano's in Rutherford! Outrageous food, and, they offer a GF menu as well! It's an Italian B-Y-O-B place....

I've heard of that place, and maybe even Pat! Glad to know it has a gf menu - we usually stick to a few Italian places in town who I know have one.

My favorite restaurant is also on Park Ave. - Cafe Matisse. It's pricey, but amazing. They have a seasonal tasting menu, and although they sell wine (with a tasting before you are seated), it's BYO.

My girls dance in Rutherford every weeknight, so I might have to give Paisano's a try!

Hey if you like homemade pretzels, try The Worx in Downtown Greensboro. They serve theirs with a cheese ale dip... YUM!

Thanks for all the responses. Your favorites all sound great!

This was posted on the Golden Harvest Facebook page this morning:

Considering the place can only seat 27, those people will be waiting a while. Service is not fast.

A couple more things to know; it's cash only, no credit cards. And if you are a party of two and a four-top opens up, you will be seated with another couple you don't know. But you will probably be friends when you leave.

So what was the name of the place??? I think you are pretty close to where I live so I want to know if I've ever been there!

My favorite local place was called Plaza Garibaldi. Sadly it closed a couple of years ago, but we had the honor of being the very last customers.

The people who ran it now operate a different restaurant. It has pretty much the same menu. It's now a a 30 minute drive instead of 5.
