I usually tell my husband, but not always.

That phrase reminds me of another favorite phrase. The best way to get someone's attention and get them to look is to say, "Don't Look!"

I don't like gossip. I don't like to listen to it and I definitely don't repeat it. It does no good for anyone. I don't need "dirt" on other people to make me feel good about myself. If I don't want it repeated, I don't say it.

It depends on the secret. There are some secrets I think it's okay for dh to know and others where I know it would be a real infringement on my friend's privacy to tell.

If a friend tells me something about one of her kids I might share it with DH, but if she tells me something about her husband who is a also a friend of DH's, I wouldn't tell.

Usually my friends and I work under the understanding that spouses are told all, and ask for an exception "don't even tell your DH" if we don't want that info out.

Depends on who's asking me not to, and what it is. There are certain people, that I'd almost never tell something, if they asked me not to. There are others who seem to start everything they say with "don't tell," and while I won't go around looking to "tell," I'm really not that concerned about it.

I tell DH. I only have had one time when a friend told me not to tell DH. I didn't, but he guessed anyways.

I won't say anything to anyone who would/could be involved and it will never get back.

But, I might say something to DH or my sister who lives in another state, if it's interesting to talk about.

I am very good at keeping secrets, I will not tell anyone, unless I feel a responsibility to a freind to do so. I am a very private person though, so most of my stuff is only know by me and the very few people I really trust.

I have two best friends, among the three of us, we know that something said to one will be said to the other. One no longer lives locally. He will only call one of us with an update and know that by the time he gets to the other, they will also know. There are no secrets betwen us three.

Depends on the secret. If its something silly I would probably tell my husband. If its something that could seriously hurt someone or get them in trouble I wouldn't tell a soul. The funny thing is I find these people who say "don't tell anyone" have already told 3 other people. Then I feel like a jerk for actually thinking this person confided in me. Lol!

I always tell my dh & he does the same with me - it's a given it will go no farther. Also, my younger ds & I tell each other everything, and we too, don't let it go any farther (both ways). Sometimes you just 'need' to talk, but we consider ourselves a 'closed' circle, and it's worked for years!

I always tell my husband.
He never ever spills secrets, except to me-he always tells me his don't tell anyone news, too.
Sometimes my BFF, too.

Rarely would I share a secret. I trust my husband but I'd only tell him if he actually needed to know. I normally keep it in 'the vault.'

Sometimes what you hear is 'not' gossip, and no it is not right to spread it around. But, sometimes you 'need' one trusted (from experience) person to talk to about it because it is upsetting, and you need to talk (not to spread it). My ds & I talk about a lot of things that does not get out (but it is therapeutic for us.)
