Publix Question

OK, so we are coming from the West Coast. We are using Happy Limo to get from AoA to the Port w/a free grocery stop, which, I am assuming is probably Publix since it is listed on their site.

Is this a full service grocery store? Or more like a Quikstop/711 type market?

Just trying to plan accordingly.

Thanks!

We have Publix here in GA and they are full service grocery stores.

It's a straight up grocery store.

Publix is a regular grocery chain in the south. They also sell beer and wine.

Perfect! Thanks everyone for the quick answers. We need to make a stop for some beverages and anything else we may have forgotten to pack!

If you are buying liquor, you will need to stop at a package store. Grocery stores in FL only carry wine.

Publix is not only "a" grocery store, it is "the" grocery store in Florida. I'd compare them to Kroger in Ohio and Wegman's in New York. All other groceries in this state pretty much fall short for one reason or another. And be sure to check the specials at www.publix.com. Every week they have several things that are BOGO (buy one, get one free) and many other things on sale. And if something is listed as, say, 10 for $5.00, then you get the sale price no matter how many you buy. Also, if you're coupon clipper, you can combine the BOGO and sale offers with manufacturer's coupons as well.

Does anyone know if the store that Happy Limo stops at for the free stop has a liquor store attached? Or, does "beer and wine" include like Mike's Hard Lemonade? type drinks?

It does include mikes etc. The Publix's in our county can only sell after noon on Sunday's so keep that in mind if you are on a 4 day Dream. Can anyone confirm if that is true of all or maybe a county regulation?

Publix does sell other "malt" beverages like Mike's hard lemonade, Angry Orchard hard cider, that sort of thing.
