HCG and 5k this coming October

Hey guys! I'me somewhat new to the boards. I've posted a few things but it never went anywhere. Anyway, I will be starting the HCG diet tomorrow and was wondering if there are people here that have done or is doing the diet as well. It would be nice to get some tips.

ALSO, I will be doing a runDisney 5k marathon this October (4-5). I am looking for people who will be running the marathon as well. I'm going there solo so it would be nice to have someone to run with.

That's about it for now.

Do you mean you're doing the 5K during the Tower of Terror 10 miler weekend?

Are you being supervised through the HCG diet? If so, are they OK with you training, even for a 5K, while eating only 500-800 kcal per day? I'm doing WW, am doing the "eat every point coming to me" plan, and one day I didn't quite eat enough (but ate more than 800 cal) and I fainted. In the shower. (I also was having hydration and increasing my run by too much issues)

I wouldn't want that to happen to you. Please oh please talk to a healthcare person about training for a RUN while eating that little.

Supposedly the HCG helps you not FEEL hungry while eating so little (mystifying, since everyone I know who uses HCG for the approved purposes ends up hungrier than normal), but that doesn't mean your body won't be hungering for fuel for your training.

Thank you for your concern. I am actually going to go off the diet for two days while I run and get back on it again after the run. Yes, I am doing the Tower of Terror run. But it is only the 5k so we'll see. :D
