It is for my family. It's a pretty good breakfast buffet and my wife loves Pooh bear.

Also it's great walking down Main Street with the park pretty close to empty.

You don't have to go right at 8:05 AM. They serve breakfast until 11/11:30.

We love going for breakfast at CP. we always try and get an early ADR so we can get photos in front of the castle with no one else in them.
Good selection and the characters are good at spending time with each table.

I can think of a lot of other places we prefer for breakfast however it's nice getting to MK that early, being able to have breakfast and be right in MK when you're done.

If you'd like to check out our experience of CP breakfast feel free. It wasn't the best food for us as we are pretty health conscious and there weren't a lot of healthier options other than fruit for us when we were there, but the characters were a lot of fun and many people do enjoy it.

We have an 8:05 am ADR but as a previous poster pointed out you can get a later ADR, so you don't have to be up so early.

Yes. Especially on your first trip and especially with your kids. The CP has become a first morning at WDW tradition for us, dating back to our homeymoon trip. Last december my DS (6) was so excited she just about accosted poor Pooh while I was distracted by the breakfast lasagna . My husband and I are even planning on going there later this year when we go, without the kids. Also, the point earlier of getting into MK early is a good one - if only for the experience of walking down main street and seeing the castle without a mob about you.
Enjoy!

it is for our family. One of THE BEST parts about going to an early breakfast at Crystal Palace is that the park is not yet open. You can usually get really fantastic pictures of the Castle and your family. One of our best pictures was from a photopass photographer on main street that morning. It looked like we had the park to ourselves.

Oh, and the food at the buffet is terrific as are the characters! Who wouldn't think it was worth it to have breakfast with Winnie the Pooh!

Really like CP for breakfast.... like most others, the idea of being in the park before the crowds is the perk.

One of my favorite memories was watching our Granddaughter run down
Main Street. (The only person in sight was a photopass photog!!)

Crystal Palace is a must do for our family when we go to Disney. We love the early reservation time because we can walk down main street with no other guests. We have many photo opportunities before the park opens and the breakfast buffet along with Pooh and friends is great.

We have a 8:50am reservation. Think they'll let us in around 8:30am so we can take pictures?

I think rope drop is worth waking up early for but we plan our breakfasts in the park for about 10:30 or later if they are serving later.

That way we are at rope drop and go right the the most sought after rides, get them out of the way and then have a late breakfast.

We tried doing the 8AM breakfast with the idea of you're already in the park and beat the "crowd" to the rides, but breakfast wasn't enjoyable.

We felt rushed to get done so we could get to the rides. The late breakfast allows us relax, enjoy the meal and characters and then we get out there while everyone else is eating lunch and do the next set of attractions

I also found it saved us money that way. My kids don't like to eat when they first wake up. So we ate so close to lunch time (and if anyone was hungry we had a muffin or granola bar we brought with us waiting for rope drop) so we ended up not having a real lunch per say and would have an early dinner and then snack later in the evening before bed.
