If you could work at Disney.....

What job would you want?

My wife would be a kick-butt concierge. I think I would do best as some type of tour guide. I could even be a DVC salesperson, though I would have a hard time recommending a purchase if prices keep climbing.

I'd probably want to be in a transportation-related area. Friendship boats, monorail, railroad...

Hamming it up with guests at Wispering Canyon or 50's Prime Time would be fun, but being a server is way too much hard work. I guess one of the streetmosphere positions would be better.

I understand the woman who portrays Tinkerbell at the beginning of Wishes gets paid for a full day for her 30-second flight from the castle. I could certainly get into those hours. They'd need to have a lot sturdier cables to fly me, though. And Lord help the guys trying to catch me backstage. Maybe by the time I retire to Florida they'd consider having Dumbo or Pooh fly from the castle instead of Tink.

I wouldn't want to be an in-park Photopass photographer (taking the same exact picture all day every day), but one of the personal portrait session photographers would be cool.

I'm an electrician. I would love to work maintenance and get my hands on the ride drawings. Plus, I would always know what new stuff Disney was working on.

Dear Disney,
I'm available for interviews anytime during the first week of April, 2014.

I am in IT but I am also an EMT. I would like to do EMS for Disney. But if I retire down there I would want to work in a park possibly as photopass photographer. That would be fun.

I would love to be a photographer. But I agree, not the photopass one that stands in one spot for a long time.

I would love to do photography for events and such. I saw a photography team just yesterday taking pics of the topiaries by France. Then they started talking about how they had to walk over to Yacht/Beach Club and then some other places. That would be cool.

I'd work the tip board in AK because it's my favorite park. I've even gone so far as to go up to the CMs there and suggest "Don't you want to retire so I can take your job?" One of the CMs there did tell me once that that's the park to work at. Often, you don't get out of the park until a couple hours after it closes. Since that's the only park with no evening EMH, the absolute latest they get out is 10:00. At other parks, it's not unusual to leave after midnite.

I told DW I'd like to retire and drive a bus at WDW

Not only do you get to see a lot of guests, but you somehow know everything that is going on, especially with DVC!

Can you imagine the respect I would get on this board?!?!

I would also like to sell DVC resorts, or even be one of the people at the park booths, since I wouldn't need the money but can brag a lot on DVC. I guess I could combine the two options and drive one of the DVC vans with starry-eyed guests coming to talk to a guide.

DH dreams of being one of their pyrotechnicians!

I'd be a lifeguard at one of the water parks.

My Dream Disney Job

I have told my family for years that I want to work at DW.
The first job I wanted was to pick up the trash with the gripper things.
The second job I wanted was to be a greeter and wave my Mickey Hands to direct people to the lockers, stroller rentals, or to the Potties.
I was watching a parade, when job #3 popped onto my head!!The fairy godmother on the float looked older, do I could take that job. I have all of the qualifications, I have white hair, am quite FLUFFY, and smile most of the time.
Sadly, with all of thoe stellar qualifications, the could also cast me as Ursula the SEA WITCH!!!
We will be down at DW from 12/22-1/2, and then rent off site for 2-3 months. I may swing by casting, maybe they need a chubby pleasant lady for anything else.
