How wet on splash mountain?

I know this may be a weird question. The reason I ask is when my DH and I were on our honeymoon we went to dolly wood. I talked him into a water ride shortly after arriving and he wasn't very happy with me. We got soaked, we were wearing jeans and it was kinda cool. I don't want a repeat of that! Lol

I've been on the ride many times, the most I've gotten was a tiny spray, can hardly call it a water ride.

Every time I've ridden it I've gotten at least a little wet. I've noticed whoever sits on the left side gets least wet. DD got drenched last time but my butt was just wet. I would avoid it if it is a chilly day and don't wear jeans on it either!

I believe if you sit in the back seat you will barely get wet at all, back left seat is probably the least. I've sat in the back with my daughter everytime, her in the left, because I didn't want her to have to walk around all wet (she's 5), and she didn't get any water at all.

In my experience, it depends where you sit. The front row will get somewhat wet, but sitting in the back I only had some sprays!

The left side is the driest in my experience. The worse spot seems to be after the hill heading towards the riverboat.

Balance the boat and no one gets wet. Heaviest in the back, lightest in the front. If you have an extra seat, try making it the first seats on the boat.

The only time we have gotten soaked was when it was pouring rain outside!

The last time we were absolutely soaked and there are lots of reports saying the same. If the water cannon is set to shoot as far as the boats (logs) then you get drenched in the front of the boat. They had turned that down in the year before the current refurb due to complaints so that may not be a concern now.

You can check this by looking at the boats as the re-enter the mountain on the left side. If the spout of water drops on the boats then yep you'll get soaked. You can ask for the back seats and that does help.

I remember only getting splashed in the face. My clothes were essentially dry.

After riding multiple times per trip I have to say this all seems to be determined by each log and how the weight is balanced.

I've walked off barely misted or completely soaked in the front, back, left and right sides.

It depends. I've been not wet at all and sometimes (one time in particular) SOAKED!. I mean, I got off of the ride and a CM asked if I had fallen out of the log.

I wore a poncho on it the rest of that trip...
