Curtains!

Can anyone give me ideas on where to buy curtains? I really like the horizontal striped ones (with the big stripes) that are all over Pinterest, but I can never find where to buy them. They are always on someones blog, or $300 on Etsy. With as popular as they've become, surely you can find them somewhere? Help!

I find JCPenney has the biggest selection and prices are really reasonable.

Country Curtains dot com is a good place to look too but they can be pricey.

The recent Plow and Hearth catalog I got had a large selection of the striped ones. I really like them but don't do curtains. Most were made for outdoors but I can't see why you can't use them indoors.

Hope this helps.

Can you

sew at all? Curtains are the easiest thing to make. Actually I think it was 3 parts ironing, 1 part sewing.

I took a class at Joann's. They walked me through the whole thing and I got exactly what I wanted.

There also might be a small shop in your town that makes custom curtains at a reasonable price. I had 5 made for my kitchen very reasonably.

Good luck! It took me years to get all my windows done. The one store-bought set I have came from Penney's.

Thanks! I'm sure I "could" sew, but I have ZERO desire to do it. I will admit I will probably buy curtains that aren't my first choice rather than sewing... I can't even stand sewing on a button.

Overstock.com has some nice curtains/drapes. I saw at least a couple with horizontal stripes.

I love to sew but curtains make me crazy. Nothing but long straight seams-ugh.
My formal dining and living room curtains were made using stitch witchery or heat n bond-can't remember which but they've been hanging since 2003- Bob Hope's funeral was on tv as I pinned and ironed.

Also, don't be afraid to look for shower curtains if the length will work for your windows! They can be much less expensive.
