It's time to try a Disney Cruise. Let's start with the Dream! update pg 14

So after lots of shrimp and some crab legs, we decided to find the Edge so Declan could check it out. It is in a pretty cool location, hidden up in one of the funnels.



We also went to up to the Outlook for a sneak peak. It is a pretty cool little lounge above the Edge. If you get a chance you should check it out. We then headed to the Sports Deck and checked that out. The golf wasn’t available but we were able to shoot some hoops.

Here are some pictures looking towards the Cape and the Carnival pier. The Carnival ship is the Sensation. We sailed on her sister ship the Paradise last March.

I found it quite ironic that all basketball season I had been trying to get Declan to play a little more physical under the hoop and as we were playing a little one on one, he elbowed me in the side of the head as he drove by me to the hoop.

As we continued to walk around we noticed we were able to get in the hallways to the cabins so we decided to see if our cabin was ready. We headed for Deck 10 Aft and sure enough it was ready (right at 1:30). I decide to video going in for the first time, sorry but it isn’t the best.

The cabin was great, lots of room with a huge verandah. It was bigger than our cabins on Carnival but we were able to hear our neighbours at times. We were never able to do that on the Carnival ships.

We checked out the cabin for a bit and then Declan and I changed in to our swim suits so we could try the Aquaduck, the pool and the hot tub while DW relaxed pool side. We did 3 runs on the Aquaduck with no wait but it was pretty chilly getting on. We were able to warm up in the pool and watch some classic Disney cartoons on funnelvision and then warmed up some more in the hot tub. When you get in the hot tub make sure you check out the glass bottom.

We didn’t do much to decorate our door but we did make up some birthday magnets for Declan.



While at the pool, I decided to get the beer mug deal so I headed to the bar beside the pool. I was told it was for draft beer and you couldn’t get it at that location but the server could go get me one and bring it to me. The problem was that he only knew two or three of the beer that you could get and I wasn’t looking for Bud. I ended up at a bar in the adults’ only area and picked up there.

It was almost time for the safety briefing so we headed back to the cabin to change and see if our luggage had arrived. More to come later.

Cool, we have a couple of friends that are here on the Dis that are from the Peg, Queenofallthings and Purplepeg.

I have only been to the airport in Winnipeg but I am heading out there in June for some meetings. Hopefully winter will be over by then.

I think you'll miss the snow in June, instead it'll be flood season so bring your hip waders!

Great update. Nice pick of the stateroom. Having a back of the ship 5E category is the hidden gem on the Dream.

Thanks, it will definitely be hard to go back to another type of cabin now.

Yes he was. We had seen pictures before going but we still didn't realize how big it was.
