I think this may be the ONE area where Disney has confused their passengers. So many people are confused by the info. Disney provides for this Rainforest Room. The Rainforest Room is independently owned. Therefore, there is very little, (confusing information) on this purchase. My advice to Disney, if asked, would be.... Please explain that this is an independently owned agency that works through Disney. Please explain to us, that we need to call the 1- 800 number provided for any additional info. It is very confusing when you are told if you book a day pass prior to sailing it will be 15.00 plus a 1.00 service fee, but if you book onboard it will be 27.00. I have heard the reason for 11.00 increases is due to the fact if you book this onboard they will give you a small jar of bath salts. I guess what I am trying to say is.... Disney, please break this down, as you do all your other services. We are all very confused, with many questions. thank you.

Rain Forest Questions

I got a RF day pass for $16 to use on the Magic, but I have a few questions if someone could answer for me please.
1- Can i still buy the scrubs seperately when i get there?
2- Does the spa give you the robe to use?
3- Do you just wear your swim suit?
4-What are the hours the spa is open?

Wow, I didn't know anything about this Rainforest Room. This sounds like something My DW and I would be interested in. We will be on the Fantasy in August.

So what is the price of the week long couples pass? Is there any way to purchase the week long pass in advance?

The weeklong pass for couples was 193$ on the Fantasy last month. It included 2 jars of the scrub that you could refill!
You must purchase on board. Very easy! Take the tour and buy the pass.

I am thinking I might buy 2, 1 day passes before our cruise to see if we would love it as much as everyone else seems to. My question is, if we do, can we upgrade to the week's pass after we use the day one and have fallen in love with the RR? Thank you!

I contacted shoreside concierge and asked them. They basically said there is no breakdown of prices and services anywhere. That yes it does change cruise to cruise as to what is offered and when and how much.

Its a little bit frustrating. How hard is it to have a basic list of what is available and how much? I do think part of it is once you are on board you are trapped. (I really have issues with the overall spa business mentality)

Thank goodness for the Disboards

We went back and forth on the Rainforest pass and decided to each get a 1 day pass ahead of time. We decided to try it once and see how we like it. If we absolutely love it and the prices and availability work out for a week or 4 day pass on board then we might go for it. But I think we will have enough to do on this cruise that if it does not work out neither of us are going to care. I would rather not spend the money then to spend it and not be able to use it.

I have read of them allowing an upgrade and applying the prepaid pass to the upgrade. I think, though, it is at the whim of the manager.

Is this correct?
It was said that the remaining one-day passes were available at 8 a.m. and once they were gone for that day, that was it.

I was gifted with 2 one-day passes on our 3/23/13 cruise. DH and I went to the spa after we boarded to take a tour and see if he would like to use one of them. I told the girl giving the tour that I had received the note in our room for the rainforest and when she told us about it, she included the scrub. The sticker they put on the back of the card just say R/F 3/25 or whatever day you want to use them. When I went back the first day and they took my KTTW card I was given a bag with the scrub and loufa to use and told to keep it and have it refilled as needed for both days.

It was my first time in the spa and I really enjoyed the RF. The loungers were hot and felt great on my back. The hot tubs didn't get above 91. There was a CM working on them Thursday and he told another girl there that the problem was the wind. I didn't bother the second day since it wasn't hot.
