Cape May since changes

We cancelled Cape May during our August trip last summer. At the time they had come off a rehab and some menu changes. How has it been lately?

It was awesome on March 4.

I must add, though, in case this is important to you: we don't ever eat dessert here, and don't care what they serve or don't serve for dessert. I love oreos, but the couple of times in past years that I ate a bonbon here I was sorely disappointed anyway.

The rest of it was great.

We ate there in October and loved it. The only thing I missed was the Oreo bonbon.

anyone report back that there are less choices for the non seafood lover? No ribs, is there still chicken? I know there was a beef, which was very very rare. I hear that is still there.

We were there in January and I felt like there was much selection for the price you are paying.

We were there last month and there were still plenty of choices that weren't seafood. I loved the pork. There is chicken on the kids table. I can't remember if there was any other chicken. I was too busy eating the shrimp.

The meal was delicious, as it usually is. But I do agree about the dessert. It isn't very exciting.

Are the crab legs only served on certain nights?

We was there at the end of October and thought it was amazing!
There was a great selection of seafood and non-seafood items not to mention the fab desserts, it ended up being one of my 3 boys favourite meals of the 3 wks and they don't eat any seafood so only ate the other items.
The crab legs was wonderful

Our Ratings of Cape May Buffet Dinner: (12/8/2012)
. . . food price value: C
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: A
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: B
. . . eatery atmosphere: C
. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff attentiveness: C
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: Average food quality. This is not the quality of a New England
seafood buffet. They do have crab legs, but they are smaller legs and
the meat is REALLY stingy. Not high in quality, but will do in a pinch,
as will the clams/mussels. Clams are tasty, but are smaller Littleneck
clams. Face it, you can't make big Disney profits if you use high quality
crab, clams, mussells on a medium-priced buffet. Since the rehab, ribs
are replaced with short ribs and the key lime tarts are gone. Oreo Bon
Bons and Peanut Butter Cookies are also gone from the buffet, but can
be purchased in the resort's gift shop. Another way to cut costs, they
have replaced the corn-on-the-cob with niblets. Absolutely pitiful way to
cut things !

The new rotation for the "fried food" daily specials section is:
. . . Sunday & Wednesday - fried shrimp
. . . Monday & Thursday - fried clam strips
. . . Tuesday & Friday - fried calamari
. . . Saturday, only - fried chef's choice (a fried seafood, not a fried chef)

I would be interested in trying the choices that a fried chef makes!
