Unhappy Annette tribute?

What a great loss the Disney family has suffered with the passing of Annette Funicello. Any word on special tributes or memorials for this amazing lady? I'll be at WDW next week and really hope they do something special to honor her memory and contribution to Disney history.

I have not heard anything, but it is a bit early.

The Lady was a wonderful gal and classy............certainty deserves a tribune.

A true Disney Icon.

The Walt Disney Company published a moving tribute online:

I assume the flags at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort are a half mast today for one day, as has been case several times in the past when a Disney Legend has died. (I have not actually seen this confirmed anywhere.)

I would not expect any ceremonies or special events at Walt Disney World next week related to the passing of Annette Funicello.

That's okay. I will still be wearing my ears proudly in her honor. She will be missed. -Michelle

I talked with a wonderful CM named Jack in the Uptown Jewelry store when I was there last week. If you have a chance to talk to him, he has some great tidbits of information. He mentioned a tribute to her, although it may have been there for a long time rather than a recent addition. He said in the Muppets 3d attraction, I believe it is n the waiting area, there is a net hanging from the ceiling with squarish foam pieces. He sad the foam represents jello, so as a tribute to her,it is "a net full of jello"

"A net full of Jello" has been part of the Muppet*Vision 3D pre-show lobby since the attraction opened in 1991. The visual pun was still there a few months ago when I looked.
