Quick Dinner Help... I'm an Idiot

At noon today, I put 6 raw boneless center cut pork chops in the crock-pot. Just now, 4 PM, I realized I set it on WARM.

Once cooked, will these still be okay to eat?

I'm thinking no. Its like you left them in the sun all day and then cooked them. But I'm an idiot when it comes to cookin'! So hopefully some one with a little more experience can help!!

Heck ya, they'll be fine. Not like they're going to spoil in 4 hours.

As long as they hit 145 degrees eventually they'll be safe.

I would not touch them with a 10 foot pole. You essentially left raw chicken at the perfect temp tp grow bacteria for 4 hours. And yes, chicken can spoil that fast. I'd get a pizza.

She put pork, not chicken.

I would steer clear anyway.

I wouldn't eat them. If it had been LOW instead of HIGH maybe, but on WARM all day? No way.

I would toss them. To me it's as if you left them in a warm car for 4 hours.

If it were beef I might take my chances, but not with pork. Sounds like a great pizza night!

Thanks everyone, still not sure what to do... very mixed answers.

This is actually the second time I've done this, but the last time, it was just veggies. I have 2 different crock-pots and the dials are opposite of each other. On one, "High" is to the far right, on this one, "High" is the first setting, with "Warm" being to the far right. Ugh.

I'd toss them out too. Meat sitting at a warm temp for 4 hours? Yuck.

I'm pretty courageous in this area. I rarely throw out food and am a card carrying member of the "Eh, it'll be alright" club. Not in this situation, though. With beef, no problem. Not pork. I wouldn't not risk it. It hasn't been many hours and had you left the crock pot off, I wouldn't be concerned. The fact that it was on warm, though? Nope. I would not eat.
